Is it just me or has autocorrect gotten worse and the keyboard less responsive?

Since upgrading to iOS 7 I am constantly manually correcting words that should have easily been picked up by autocorrect. Simple words that are clearly misspellings of common words. I reall don't get it, how can they make something they've already developed worse??

I don't find it much different than iOS 6. Sometimes the auto correct is spot on, and other times I'm left shaking my head in frustration.

MY god man why don't you give it up and move to another phone. You clearly are not happy about anything iPhone. Everyday it seems there is a new thread by you complaining about something. Or maybe you've just got nothing better to do.

Yes, he seems to be really unhappy on iOS or maybe he just likes to "stir the pot"

One could go on and on - sigh

Quit trying to insinuate that I'm the problem, I'm not. Apple has downgraded almost everything in terms of functionality.

And many of us don't feel the same way. I fact, for my uses, the functionality is dramatically improved.

Also, most single users do not have as many separate threads regarding issues as you do. Either you just really notice things..

That's fine, but there are certain things that are objectively inferior and less efficient.

Such as? You keep mentioning messages, but the options to forward, edit, etc. are still there.

The implementation is different though.

My biggest annoyance right now though is Safari. I can't stand the search bar and how it doesn't bring up the search history. Also the period key's placement.

I also hate the fact that my palm keeps hitting the return key now.

I honestly didn't even realize the period key or return Kay had changed placement. Seems like a small change to overcome.

With search history, if I start toying something I have searched and viewed recently, I see the corresponding pages show up under where it says "bookmarks and history."

These tiny changes dorm seem worth the threads upon threads created, especially considering the improvements brought by iOS 7. And from searching on this forum, your criticisms listed are definitely not among the masses.

If these changes are unacceptable to you, you can absolutely sell your device and buy a device still running iOS 6 online. That's the only thing that can be done here. Feel free to send your suggestions to Apple.

Nothing in this thread can even be remotely seen as proof that iOS 7 is garbage.

Unless you're being sarcastic..in which case, well played.

There are plenty of comments throughout this forum and others that are proof that a significant percentage of people don't like iOS 7.

Has anyone noticed when you hit all caps now and type a word and send it in a message it stays in all caps? Why would they do this? Yet another unnecessary change.

Not liking it is much different than it being garbage. The ios forum is ridiculous, more people monkeying around with betas than enjoying what they own.

Why does "monkeying around with betas" translate to "not enjoying what they own"? The two don't have to be exclusive, at least not for quite a few people who do that.

Is it just me or did it used to go right to the new message when you opened the app with a badge on it? Why on earth would they change this??

Because you could have more than one new message from more than one conversation. Which one should it go to when you open it then? For the most part people are actually fairly happy with this change (based on some positive posts about it in some threads in the part).

This was one of my favorite changes. You know why? Because sometimes I have a new message, but can't reply to it right now. However, I may need to reply to a different message first. Before, if I opened messages, it would go to the new message, marking it as read and clearing the notification, thus I would forget to respond later.

I'm saying when there was only one message. Although if there were 2 it would go to the first one. This is a huge mistake IMO it was much smoother and faster before.

That's a good point, never thought of that.

Check out my post right above this. Perfectly good reason to prefer the way it is now. This is all subjective and all opinions. Your opinion here does not matter, send it to Apple.

I replied to your post above already

Notification window is your friend. ;)

Damn so there was a way to mark as unread? I had just used that gripe of his to make myself feel better about the change. :(

Well when you got new messages from multiple people you could pull down the window and only click on the one you wanted to address at that time. Leaving the other unread. This was nice because you could take a glimpse of it to justify putting it off till later.

I still do this. Or swipe particular messages from the lock screen.

Notification center? Exactly my point. I'm talking about when you have only one new message. The other message is one you've already read but had not yet responded to. The way messages used to be, if you opened the app it would automatically take you to the new message. This would clear the badge, as well as clear it from notification center, which was the issue.

Oh you're talking about NC. I'm actually hoping to find a way to disable this soon, it interferes w a key activator gesture, swipe left on status bar. I rarely use notification center, I've thought it was another one of Apple's gimmicky features from the start, like almost every other new "groundbreaking" feature they unveil at Keynote.

Oh ok, so I'm good
