I used it for like an hour and went back.
I love the new features, it's about time we got android like features. I like the way we can get to them too.
(I switched from a Nexus to iPhone 5 when it came out, after having switched to an iPad in March of 2012 from a Xoom, and OS X from Linux in Dec/Jan of 11/12, I really missed some android stuff dearly but iOS was better for me, so was the eco-system)
The settings, features etc remind me of Jellybean, and that's OK, some of the stuff feels a little more complicated like android (just more stuff to tap on to do stuff).
I hate the way it looks. I think Google did a way better 'flat' design styling. Sure, it may have been time to drop the textured and inconsistent areas, I agree with that. And sure, why not update it to feel more modern if you want to, though, the whole feel of it now sucks to me. It's cartoony, you can do white space and relief space without shoving it down someone's throat. I like relief space to add contrast and shift focus to where the eye should be, here it all kind of gets lost together. You can do flat without being cartoon too.
It seems like a lot of design just for the sake of design. I mean really, re-doing the sharing arrow (or 'sharrow' as I like to call it) but leaving the icons like that? It's a little baffling. Also, without shadowing or stroking the text for the app icon names, they get lost in the background.
Seriously, think about this, what if Apple just compiled android for their hardware, added an iOS emulator and were done? It'd look just like this except you'd be able to change their ridiculous icons and adjust the theme to your liking.
