Have they fixed the issue with all data appearing as "other" in iTunes?

I had to downgrade my iPhone 5S from 8.0B1 to 7.1.1 because I could no longer sync it presumably due to this.

I have mixed results on this. Sometimes it shows correct data usage other times its all lumped together. sometimes it won't sync at all.

After initially thinking that B2 was tolerable, I've gone back to 7.1.1. I can deal with app crashes or apps not working, but it's the constant having to press the sleep or home button a million times to get the phone to wake up that's killed it for me.

It seems a bit buggier but faster than beta 1..

Anyone having problems sending a photo to a non iMessage user and or sending a group MMS?

Mine doesn't seem to be working properly. Was working fine in Beta 1

I clean installed beta 2, it has some bugs obviously but as a daily driver its seems okay now. The screen sometimes won't wake from sleep, have to take a screenshot to wake it up.

I've having that same problem with my iPhone not waking from sleep, very annoying. Beta 2 is still pretty buggy, just mostly new bugs, but that's why it's a beta.

You aren't.
Beta 2 is indeed more buggy compared to Beta 1. I saw in my case following things:

  • Autocorrect and QuickType seems to be more inaccurate
  • Battery percentage dissapears without any changes in System settings
  • Safari seems to have major problems with JavaScript. They weren't there in Beta 1

In addition to the last post of me, there occurred some more bugs

  • iOS freezes completely. Only a warm reboot helps
  • Some App freezes when suddenly no cellular data is available
  • Screen won't wake up sometimes

Same here, first time i had to give up on a beta version, my phone is absolutely unusable!
Did clean install and it became even worse!
After the clean install the phone froze again after just trying to go into settings.
Too much freezing and installing all apps all over again for me, just a complete waste of time trying to fight against it...

Beta 2 is much worse than Beta 1. More freezes, camera won't even start half the time, Siri comes and goes, iMessage freezes. The only improvement I've noticed is that the photo you just took appears when you tap on the lower left corner of the camera app (if you can get the camera to work, that is)

Following my OTA update and all its issues, I did a clean install as many of you suggested and initially, things seemed to be running smoother well, that didn't last long at all...

Apps constantantly crash during multitasking, links from emails crash Safari, Siri sometime disappears and instead, I get "Voice Control". The latter requires restarting the phone for it work again.

To me, beta 2 is significantly more buggy than the original, I'm going to downgrade to ios 7.1 for now, the phone is unusable.

The voice control bug only requires that you disable Siri then enable Siri. A restart isn't necessary, in my experience.

I find Beta 2 worse then Beta 1 in some areas..... but better in others. so I find them on par with each other overall. Apps I couldn't use in Beta 1 I can now use... but I frequently get camera crashes, message crashes, and FB crashes.

Oh well the perks of using a beta. :)
