These threads always come up, especially with the Apple Watch. The answer is if you're confident in yourself literally nothing matters lol. My chrome theme is pink, my phone (6S) is pink, anything I can get that's pink, is pink. It's a color. If you like it, then own it. Who cares.

If you personally think something is too feminine for you, that's your right. But why on earth would you care what someone else thinks? It's pretty sad that people would consider not buying something because of what a stranger might think. If someone judged me on the colour of my phone, they're irrelevant to me.

I have the matte black but I think the red iPhone looks great. Shame it has a white front and not red or black.

Or do what I did - slap a saddle brown leather case on it and carry that sucker around for six months.

That's a good looking case.

Why do I have my phone out on dates?

Selfies bro.

I'm not usually doing selfies on a first date. By then I still haven't decided whether I want to know her more or even remember her. Some are cool on the first date, and the psycho comes out later.

I give it a while before there's any pictures of us together.

I would think that if you haven't determined whether she thinks you're phone makes you look girly, that it's too early to be interested in having pictures together or memories made.

If it's only to take pictures of yourself with her to brag to your friends, I haven't ever done that. So that falls into a whole different category.

I remember with the first generation iPhones that there were lots of threads from guys asking if their white iPhones made them look gay.

Personally, if the phone I wanted only came in one color, I wouldn't give it a second thought. Even if it were hot pink.

If it comes in multiple colors, just buy what you like.

My phones have typically been black or grey. I think I remember having a yellow one once. I usually just say what model phone I want and take what they hand me. I've never asked for a specific color or rejected a color. I'm good with whatever they set on the counter.

The nice thing about black though, is that it usually is basic looking, and doesn't readily announce what phone I have. So it keeps the interest level pretty low if I pull my phone out in front of someone. I'd rather nobody care what I'm carrying, as it makes theft less of a thought.

Guy or Girl I would still judge you for buying that ugly peice of crap. It's such an ugly product. White is ugly anyways but when combined with that gorgeous red makes for an unfortunate combo. Red and Black would have been bad ass. Instead we got the iPhone Christmas Edition. I've seen many in person and I have not been impressed.

That doesn't look the red iPhone I saw at the Apple Store.

This looks darker, and MUCH better.

Did you do something to yours?

"CHRISTMAS EDITION" LOL!!!

That's hilarious! :D

Just the way the photo came out

I'd recommend avoiding the red iPhone—not because of gender, sexuality, unicorns, etc., but because it'd be a disservice to others if you went around sporting an iPhone that implies you don't have hangups you clearly do.

To buy a red iPhone is to say to the world, "Hey, I totally didn't start a thread about whether or not it's 'ok' if my phone is a certain color while my genitals are external," and in your case, that statement would be a lie.

Is it OK if a guy drives a red Ferrari?

I don't think it's a problem. Most of the ferraris I've seen are red!!!

Does your photo look like your iPhone?

I'm thinking Maybe the lighting in the Apple Store doesn't represent how it'll look at home etc

It’s bright red. Just looks dark because of the lighting and all the other colors surrounding it.

Just get the one you like. I (male) used to rock a rose gold 6S Plus. To this day was the best phone I ever owned.

As long as you like it, who cares.

You should buy whatever color you like and stop worrying about what other people think. I have only owned Black and Dark Gray phones because I prefer the black front to the white front. If the Red phone had a black front, I would consider it. Don't care for the Red/White combination. Christmas edition indeed.

Get a red phone and a boring leather case. So, if you're among a bunch of squares you can have your case on and be all like “Buy pork bellies! Sell frozen orange juice!”. Then later, when you arrive at the party, you can take the case off and say “Hey everybody, let’s get out the mash potato!” and be that kind of guy.

Don't really buy pork bellies, though. According to Billy Ray Valentine it's Christmas time and everyones uptight. You'll lose a lot of money.

What will girls think about a guy they're interested in dating if he had a red iPhone? I have a space grey right now and no problems.
I have a Rose Gold 7 Plus, do I care what others think? Nope and if some girl has an issue with a color of a phone, the issue is hers and hers alone.

I'm a guy and own this beauty. Just love it! Best phone I've owned inside and out.

Question:

How did you get it to look so dark? Yours looks MUCH better than the red one I saw at the Apple Store.

Since when is red a feminine color? Weird thread.

If you're under 20 and live in the absolute middle of nowhere surrounded by one dimensional, simple-minded people...I can understand and empathize with your insecurity. Otherwise, I'm very confused.

I'd say don't get it. Just skimming through this read I can sense how uncomfortable you are with the idea of it. If you're young.....at some point you'll stop caring about these things. When that occurs, it's life-changing.
[doublepost=1502490697][/doublepost]Oh, fwiw...no colors are masculine or feminine...its a dated social construct. A guy that lives nearby drives a bubblegum pink Lamborghini. He's obviously confident AF and likely gets loads of attention from girls.
