is it ok to charge overnight while I'm asleep or will it damage my phone battery? I heard it drains battery faster.

I always charge my phone overnight. But I don't think this will damage the battery.

I hope it is, I've been charging my phone overnight for years. Never had any battery issues

Whoever said that was completely wrong. It is completely fine to charge it overnight.

One of Apple's great strengths is its battery implementation and charging system performance of its iOS devices and laptops. While not perfect, they continue to do a stellar job.

They've got detailed user guides on Apple.com

I just use and enjoy mine, charging overnight, or at will. Couldn't be easier.

It's perfectly fine and won't do anything to damage the battery or the device (at least assuming official Apple cable and charger are in use or officially approved third party ones).

There is no danger leaving the charger overnight. It will not overcharge the battery.

Been using my phones as nightstand clocks and alarms since May 2009. Plugged in all night with the screen on all night (clock). No matter what percentage the phone was at when I went to bed.

Never once have I had a problem.

It is absolutely alright to charge a Lithium ion battery overnight (or all day and all night). In fact they last longer when they remain charged 40% and above most of the time. There's no way you can overcharge your device ;)

P.S.: It is also advised to keep your Macbooks connected to chargers when you use them and don't need to be mobile.

Feel the charger in the morning and you will notice it is cold. This is because it turns itself off once done.
