Accurate the day before launch. Up until then the rumors were all over the place.

Only if you were following non-credible rumors. If you focus on Kuo's predictions, he was 100% correct.

He predicted 18 months ago that 3D Touch would be deleted for 2019. He told us 6 months ago about UWB, frosted glass, 12MP front camera, and 4GB RAM for 11R.

Lot of these low end cheap brands have just peaked but looks like they're on their way down again. Its just not a thing outside of China these "lets settle" tech companies that come out of china. Nobody on earth except china uses them in massive scale. Literally no one buys these Chinese brands majority of Asia, Japan, Korea, Vietnam, Thailand, Philiphines as well as European countries and the Americas rarely never think to get them. Because they're just other superior products available and decent prices. These tech companies coming out of that country will eventually die off.

Honestly what is Apple offering that they are calling it a Pro feature?

1) OLED screen is similar to the Galaxy S9 and S10
2) fast charging has been avail East for sometime already from other phones
3) 3 cameras were also available from Samsung and Huawei and they now offer 4 camera in their phones
4) bigger battery has also been available in other phones. Sure they may not as long as iPhone Pro but they can surely last a full day without a problem.

The main thing is the above features are available in other phones at a cheaper price and they came before iPhone 11 Pro.

This year IPhone 11 Pro sales will be either the same or slightly worse then iPhone XS. I feel IPhone 11 will sell more.

Many must be knowing that they have to spend another US $1xxx next year. If only money grew on trees.

This year should prove that rumors don’t mean anything until the Keynote.
Everything was predicted, even the names. That’s why the keynotes are never surprising, we know everything months in advance.

Up until the Keynote it was reported that bilateral charging, Apple Pencil support, usb-c support, were all coming. This was up until the very day before the keynote.

“Kuo also says all three models will include Lightning connectors rather than USB-C and have the same notch area as current models, contradicting other rumors of smaller notches.”

Everything predicted in Feb. 2019, later he stated reverse charging was not happening because they couldn’t get it right.

Yet they will sell more phones than anybody else. Marketing works? Every company can market and market well if they wish to. But is it working out for them? Now with this cheaper 699 starting price point, a lot of companies should be afraid. Especially the companies that specializes in cheap and low end phones such as Oppo, Vivo, Xiami, Huawei (to some degree). Because that's all they had..."price it cheap strategy" or otherwise their existence will become questionable because why buy a Xiami or a Huawei when they can buy an iPhone 11, XR, 8 or a Samsung A70 at the same price? Doesn't make sense. Lets see how they play out now Apple is headed for cheaper models.

Every company in existence is free to market their products. Its not an Apple only thing. This would mean that apple is winning all fronts then? Making good products and selling a lot of them as well? Due to marketing? ALL companies are free to market their products.

Not really sure what your comment has to do with mine? I think you missed my point.

I think the Pro naming this year it's just to prepare the lineup for next year (if rumors are true). A iPhone Pro with 6.7 display, pencil support and bilateral charging sounds "more pro" and a big improvement from this year pro.

Personally from a pro device I would expect the best battery life possible, an higher refresh rate screen, usb-c, pencil support (even if I wouldn't use it)... and - let me dream - a DEX like feature which you can use to plug your phone to a monitor with keyboard and mouse for personal productivity (writing a letter, or a resume, and so on). That would be in my opinion a real "pro" smartphone and the ultimate personal computer I would need.

MKBHD is an android troll, he never used any iPhone!

Other users have mentioned that Marques carries an iPhone on him all the time (apparently for Instagram and taking photos/videos) but it's also worth mentioning that he's been exclusively using an iPad Pro instead of a laptop for the past couple months and says he loves it. Not to mention the fact he's been using Macs to edit his videos since the dawn of time itself. He's anything but an Apple hater.

PRO model would without a doubt need card slots or some tap to transfer ultra fast connection to move 1000's of high def images from DSLR to iPhone. Pros that use iPhones for photography use it as a side piece to their main kit.

Taking out a crappy dongle just means you're making up for a device's shortfall of a missing Pro feature.

Other users have mentioned that Marques carries an iPhone on him all the time with plane mode without SIM card o_O

That’s not true. He said many times he uses it as his secondary device. His main SIM card is almost always in an Android device but he does have a SIM card in the iPhone he carries. During CES in 2018 he said it in a video Unboxed Therapy did. He said his main number/SIM card that was in the Pixel 2XL but he did have a SIM card in the iPhone X. There was another of the YouTube reviewers that did a video asking the rest what their primary phone was and again MBKHD said Android but always has an iPhone with him at all times with also.

And what’s the point ?

The thread misses the point - the reason the Pro name was used was so that the "base" model could have the iPhone 11 name again

People are only right if you agree with them.

What I do find interesting is how triggered people seem to get with the word Pro? Like this is a source of debate. A completely subjective word and one Apple has been using for quite some time. \
Then a person with their own definition of Pro is debating with another person who has either a higher or lower perception for the word.

I mean it's definitely entertaining to see what gets people turntup but goodness.

Carry-on Pro debaters, carry-on.

And what’s the point ?

That you’re calling MBKHD an Android troll because of his complaints with Apple using the term “Pro” for two of the new phones. Which are the same complaints he leveled against all the other manufacturers of any device using the term just to use it. You also continue to insinuate that he doesn’t use Apple products which anyone who watches his channel knows is blatantly false. He uses an Android as his DD, big deal. For every other device he choices Apple. He’s even mentioned how poor all Android OEM’s tablets are and Apple makes the only tablets anyone should consider buying.
Since I think based on just an operating system level that Android is better than iOS for a myriad of reasons am I an Android troll?
