Problem on mine is battery down to 80% capacity in 2 years so can either replace battery or go for a new model, but which one ... XR too big I think , 8 same so nothing new to experience, Xs probably best but too much money.

I personally believe that the 8 is the last good iPhone because it retains the classic iPhone design with home button (not a fan of the current form factors but it may grow on me) I actually prefer the 7 over the 8 because it doesn't have a glass back (don't use wireless charging)

No! iPhone XS, and XR are much better phones. Even in the classic form factor, the iPhone 8 and 8 plus are much better phones and the perfected versions of that design. A headphone jack is legacy tech that doesn’t make up for all the other great advancements in the new one.

I'd have to agree that the 8 is a much better phone than the 6S.

On the other hand, as of today I have had my X for a full year and currently have no plans on upgrading to this year's models which is a first for me so technically the X is the greatest in my personal case.

Personally for me, the X has been the best iPhone I have owned, and I have owned all the S series models. I did not upgrade to the S series this year as there is just was not enough for me to consider.

Yeah, but you blew your "S" streak... Trade it in to Apple for $500 and continue your streak!!!

6S was a brilliant iPhone. I'm glad my 3 year cycle landed on it, as it introduced 3D Touch which took IOS to another level imo. Hence I think it was the most beneficial "S" cycle iPhone, considering the power, screen size, light weight & form factor. Overall, a great package. I still have it as my backup phone, & recently treated it to IOS12. But haven't used it since the X came along :(

6s was a more dynamic iPhone as it was the first ever large iPhone. Battery and size as well as improved Touch ID made the 6S memorable
However the Xs And Xs Max have taken the 6s to new heights with the A12 Bionic chip, wireless charging and upgraded internals
Only problem is that the hardware is boring And now needs a refresh

Not exactly, the 5.5 iPhone 6 Plus was the _first_ ever large iPhone in 2014, the 6s followed in 2015.

To the consumer, I think it was more or less 3D Touch And Live Photos that was the major highlights for the 6S. The battery life and size was already a given knowingly what the consumer was purchasing.

I just bought my daughter her first iPhone for Christmas. A Brand new shiny 6s :)
If she does well with the 6s, I'll giver her my X this time next year.
