I think the opposite I really hope they go with the "S" year this time, same design (I personally love this design and can go two more coming years)with some internal upgrades and fancy new variety of colors

I don't really mind the design either. I'm actually a little concerned if they go for no bezel. How in the world will I hold it? I struggled through holding the S6 Edge and constantly touched the screen. I'm probably one of the few who can't imagine having a truly bezel-less iPhone.

4 years of the same physical design?

No thanks.

I second this. The same physical design doesn't leave anything to be desired. And this is coming from someone who upgrades annually.
i also upgrade annually that doesn't mean I need a all new design each year to get excited.i am OK with this current design. Hope apple go with this current design unit 2018

Android with the Pixel give you the ability to do stuff like open two apps simultaneously in a split screen and drag text from one to the other to copy/paste. To me that's innovative, that's quick and useful, it's a desktop OS feature on my phone that really helps me do stuff efficiently.

iOS lets you do garbage like handwrite in iMessage or inserts emojis as you type. What? Why?! Give them something that is actually a time saver and would simplify the way people interact with the devices, not useless gunk that people use once and then forget about it.

There's plenty of innovation if you care to look and see.
What?

The Pixel is the opposite of innovative!

The drag and drop feature is years old - the Galaxy note series had this in 2013.

Also, I'd bet that the amount of people that use split screen on a 5.5" device is minimal.

I never use the split screen on the 5.5 inch device. I just don't find it useful enough for me. Depends what you're enitirely doing.

I can remember in 2009/2010 copying and pasting away on my HTC Touch Pro and wondering why iPhones users didn't have this simple yet uninnovative feature.

I was also perplexed for a time as to why I could send MMS (on Sprint no less) but it took a while for iPhone users to get 'picture' mail.

Oh well…

It definitely isn't over. Having used both Android and iOS and although the former has surpassed in many areas, I still find the app quality to be much better on iOS than Android. Its not even close

What I think Apple is emphasizing is not necessarily hardware design but enhancing their ecosystem and perfecting it.

Personally I am not in Apple's ecosystem only if I have too, so their ecosystem doesn't matter to me.

That's the reason I prefer Apple. Honestly without a Mac I probably wouldn't use an iPhone and vice versa.
