Nope - it's simply on new posts.. I've never ONCE been into the AW forum.
Shame people don't understand technology or how things work in the real world..

But i do feel its important to help people not make the same mistake of purchasing an AW. :p

Well it failed even more then.. the "extension" is not something worth the asking price.
I can hear or feel the phone beep in my pocket without something on my wrist.

So basically you are saying the Apple watch isn't for you. Great.

In other news....Apple is projected to sell 10 million Apple Watches in 2015.

Don't worry, AW is not for everyone, specially for someone feel the need to tell everyone in the world AW is not for him, at several different times...

Sell 10, return 9... no end to the support the fan boys will go even when the product is so poor :p
Look at how many on this thread alone feel the same..!

Why are you still here? go complain about another product you don't own elsewhere.

I hear the Samsung Gear 2 has issues where it forgets the pairing information if the battery dies and is recharged.

Will refer to a post I made in another thread -
I wear mine everyday. Its great for telling the time. Anything else I just use my phone. Sure its great getting texts/whatsapps on my watch but I always have to get my phone out to reply anyway. Its got to the point where I get a notification on the watch and jut get out my iPhone out and deal with it as its easier. Apps are still slow/unresponsive and totally pointless as far as Im concerned. I got it launch day, I've had numerous smart watches before and I knew what I was getting myself in for before I got it. Im a sucker for a gadget!!

Yeah, it was a total waste of money. But what isn't!!

Have people buying the apple watch wasted their money how do you feel about this? All I use my watch for now a days is to check the time most of the time i find it easier to use my iPhone.
I'm beginning to feel the same way. The most frustrating thing for me is the daily charging. I've forgotten it at home so many times and not even worn it the last couple of weeks.

Would anyone say that upgrading from original version software will make it more functional or exciting to use?

It's easier to charge the watch and phone together every night although my watch can last a 1.5 days.

I used to have a Pebble Watch. The battery lasted 5-7 days. It's not easy to remember 2 different charge cycles for 2 difference devices.

Curious why you always have to use your iPhone to reply to texts. I've set up a bunch of canned responses that I can send with my watch to let the sender know that I received their text and will get back to them. I can do that a lot less conspicuously than on the phone, so it's very handy at meetings.

Yep, I tailored the canned messages also... use them about 50% of the time and since they are "my canned" messages, no one in my family knows I'm using canned messages! Love it.

I've heard this complaint from a few other folks and it really makes no sense to me. You have to charge your phone every night and they are laying right next to each other. Are you really unable to see the watch laying next to the phone when you pick up the phone? It takes about a whole 5 seconds to grab the watch, and another 5 to put it on and type in the passcode. And at night, I set my alarm for the next day so connecting it to the charger is also part of that routine. I always set multiple alarm times on my phone, so having the watch with a totally different ring tone I like to help me be sure I wake up. I'm a very sound sleeper. A daily routine I don't forget ... things I have to do every 2 or 3 days I do all the time.

You make too many assumptions - firstly I'm in public, second the ringer is loud..
But remind me, how do you reply to those notification on the watch? Oh yes, you try and look at the pointless in built replies or you get siri to attempt to do voice to text - oh you're one of those that shares their over loud conversation with everyone if you want my assumption! So we concluded nothing other than the device is flawed unless you want to get a tap on the wrist and not have the ability to really read a msg or reply to it in a sensible fashion? I'd re-conclude (IMO) its pretty pointless and just for the fanboys. Hence why i returned it..

You do know that you can tailor the canned responses right? I use those frequently. I have a hard time feeling the phone vibrate in my pocket, so the watch greatly increases my receipt of notifications, and is a little less noticeable to check the message without pulling out my 6s Plus.

lol what a load of..
It's pretty easy, flick the switching it stays off - kinda easier than remembering to take the AW off the charger and putting it on your wrist...! if you are going to use the inbuilt responses I'm guessing you're the kinda person that doesn't really get many emails or need to be notified in the first place. Phone fits fine in my suit pocket, never had an issue, but i admit I'm not 3'6" either. So maybe its all relative?

I think you are forgetting I've owned an AW.
It's a device without purpose or use (IMO) and siri voice to txt works less than 30% of the time leading to you getting another device out anyway. Poorly designed, poorly thought out and even worse software.

You can't remember to put on a watch in the morning? Seriously... how do you remember to take your phone off the charger and put that in your suit pocket? What if you aren't wearing a suit? Just because you owned a watch doesn't mean that you knew how to use it. Or, if you can't remember to put it on, that's relative.

Look at how many on this thread alone feel the same..!

How many in this thread out of millions that bought it? Somewhat less than a rounding error... not the 90% you've leaped to. If you judge product success by how many complain in threads in this forum, then by your assessment the iPhone would be a total failure. Here's a little more substantive sample - https://www.macrumors.com/2015/07/20/apple-watch-tops-iphone-ipad-customer-sat/ Everyone I've seen out in the wild that had one said they loved it.

If you don't like the watch, that's fine... but trying to equate your dissatisfaction to the product being a failure and that 90% have been returned is total BS. That's quite an ego you have for yourself there. The AW does have a learning curve and requires a time investment to tweak and adapt it into your daily workflow. Doesn't sound like you wanted to, or knew how to, do that.

I used to have a Pebble Watch. The battery lasted 5-7 days. It's not easy to remember 2 different charge cycles for 2 difference devices.
It was the same for me and my Garmin. It only really needed a top-up maybe twice a week, although it could track about 8-10 hours' worth of exercising with both GPS and HR running. Maybe I could have just plugged it in and let it sync and charge during my post-workout shower; come to think of it, that's how I often charged it.

I eventually neglected the Garmin, though. I got a new regular watch that was more pleasant to wear (thinner, more attractive, never needed attention), and I largely quit using GPS because I had stopped riding my bike so much for workouts.

The AW is more attractive, more comfortable, and more versatile than my Garmin ever was. I'm fine with wearing it every day. I still get credit for my workouts, and I only bother charging it for a while in the evening before putting it back on and going to bed.

Went off on a little tangent there…. ;)

Im aware you can change the pre-wrote responses, sadly maybe I'm more complex than most people but standard responses dont work for me. replying i'll reply later, well i might as well not reply to start with. I dont need do something twice.

At least get the context correct, I'm not the one that can't remember to flick the switch for mute on the ringer.. Says everything really!

So you posted this to argue? The fact is as a % many more people are not happy with the AW vs any other of the recent apple products. I've no idea what the % is, but nor do you. But in the same way you lambast me for not liking something, why shouldn't i be able to say its not good? You and a few others clearly believe you have the right to say it is good.. is that open dialogue? or is this only positive AW comments allowed?

The OP asked, is it a waste of money. Yes, and you can't brow beat me into agreeing its not!

So you are going to say that you don't ever get a message, that you can't respond to with a couple of words? You would be very unusual if that were the case. No one is talking about replying to emails using your watch. My wife and colleagues send me a lot of texts that are asking questions that can be answered with canned answers. Often I'm in a situation where I can't as easily pull out my phone, but could send a quick reply from the watch to get it off my plate. Even if I don't reply from the watch, I can unobtrusively see what the message was, to decide if its worth excusing myself to go respond. The alternative would be waiting to even know what the message was. If you really used this, you would also know that you can respond with more than the canned messages. The watch will also sometimes suggest custom messages.

Your "I'm more complex than most people" kind of goes with my comment before that you have quite an ego there.

You need to get the context right. You said in a prior post that you couldn't remember to take your watch off the charger. Did you not? If you can't remember to take your watch off the charger, then how do you remember to take your phone off the charger if it is laying right next to it?

I think we could take a poll on who's doing the brow-beating.

You post some ridiculous statement about 9 out of 10 watches being returned, and I called you on it. You keep calling things facts that aren't facts... and not even remotely accurate. I posted some actual data to help point out how ridiculous what you said was.

I have not lambasted you for not liking something. You are welcome to your opinion for how it fits your needs. You made a blanket statement that the product is a failure and has a 90% return rate. The fact is that the Apple Watch is the most successful smartwatch in the history of the market... a market much smaller than the smartphone market. If you don't use it, then it is a waste of money FOR YOU! Of the millions of AWs sold, there are a lot of people that would disagree with you.

I will re-quote this one...
You and a few others clearly believe you have a right to say it is good...
Um, yeh. How exactly would I not have a right to state that I like something and see value in it? Or does your ego make you think that only you can have an opinion on this? This is a discussion forum, and when you make ridiculous statements, people will call you on them.

But in the same way you lambast me for not liking something, why shouldn't i be able to say its not good?

A sensible person would state that they don't like a specific product and then provide reasons as to why.

Example "I don't like the Apple watch because it is square, I like round watches".

Your reasons are "It's Crap" and "it's slow". Neither of these provide ANY useful information to a person considering buying one. On top of all this you even went on to declare that 90% of Apple watches are returned with no actual evidence or facts to back that statement.

Are you just bored or something?

I felt the same way. Its not a waste of money for people who use it for its full potential, especially with the exercise feature. It wasn't good for me because it was just a notification holder in my case, and I did end up pulling out my phone every time anyway. It just depends on your lifestyle really.

It just depends on your lifestyle really.

This is it right here... and I think add your willingness to explore a new tool to work into your lifestyle (or workflow). It took me some time with the AW to find where it fits. I think this is why some people give up on it... not willing to invest the energy to really understand how to apply it to their life. I am constantly tweaking my personal productivity tools and workflow, so this is just another tool to add to the toolbox.

Armen,

Just my $0.02.
There is another way to deal with someone constantly and repeatedly break BS meters and maybe enjoy doing it, click on their name and that "Ignore" button. There is nothing good coming out of constantly listening to someone breaking BS meter all the time.
It is nice to have constructive feedback conversation with all other members enjoy constructive feedback, without have to deal with someone just want to break BS meter in the same tread.

Most people won't use the Ignore button, and so you have other people coming here and reading BS and possibly believing it. I'd rather challenge the BS.

That's the fun part. You call them out on the BS and they either vanish or come with ridiculous responses that make you go "huh?"
