The expectation is real but the disappointment is genuine. Rule of marketing is to keep your buyers engaged and happy.

Part of my buying experience is my excitement to get the item on time and be able to play with it when it arrives. That's clearly not the case here. The honeymoon is fading, I'm already losing interest. It looks like people are posting more and more issues here too.

Doesn't sound like your honeymoon even began yet? If you had any genuine interest at all, you should give it a chance.

The longer mine is on my wrist, the more I'm beginning to love it.

I wouldn't classify as honeymoon over. But I don't usually preorder every Apple product. I am not use to all these issues. I understand waiting cause of a new product. But I wish they had their "****" straight from the beginning. A company this big shouldn't have so many launch issues. And don't give me this is a new product stuff. They had plenty of time to plan on contingencies. It's like all of these issues have taken them by surprise. Anyhow, I am basically like whatever now. I just want my watch, and be over all of this. And probably won't be doing another preorder for a while. I know every person has a different point of view. So I don't really want to argue the point. Just disappointed in how :apple: has handled everything.

The only reason for me not to like it is disappointment. That's good enough. But I'm just saying, in general I've seen a lot of threads with negative input about the watch. Hmmmm.

Hah I love my mini... I carry it anywhere and I answer Calls and text with it too.

Just because you see negative threads is not really indicative of anything. People tend to be more vocal when they don't like something (or something has gone wrong) than when things are going well.

I had the Samsung watch, and they both do pretty much the same thing, except my Samsung watch had a camera, which I really didn't use often, but it was there. I like the prompt that tells you to stand every hour and move . It was simple enough to set up. Would like more watch faces, right now I'm using Mickey!!

I don't like the short amount of time the screen stays on, I barely have time to look at it before it goes out. I would like to be able to adjust that.

I bought the white sports model, the band is very comfortable. I wanted the black , but the white had the earlier ship date. Lol I can always get a black band later. The m. Loop was what I really caught my eye, but I didn't want to spend that much, considering they may come out with something new next year.

The watch does what I expected it to do, I'm happy with my purchase. I wasn't looking to play games or anything, just see notifications, texts, and use the health apps.

Now I just need them to come with a red sports band.

lol sorry if I want something I buy it because I want to play with it asap. I'm not paying, not to mention expensive, for me to suffer, get mad and angry. Not trying to spark anything I'm just saying.

I agree with the launch...it's just because apple can and people will still buy there products. I received two out of the three watches I ordered so can't complain a lot but still waiting on one and the multiple bands I ordered. My brother ordered the 1000 one and still doesn't know when his is coming. To not deliver on the watch orders as well as accessories is unacceptable. Why not just say your not going to have stuff ready until late summer

Exactly sooner or later this "late" order is going to catch up on apple and people would hate it. I was fine with the iPhone late orders... But this one is different. It's catching up to them and it's not cool anymore.

Be honest, if you had received your watch on the 24th would you be disappointed in how Apple handled it? Probably not.

After I get the iwatch I'll probably sell my ipad air 2 and my iphone 6 for the iphone 6s plus.

Right now I have my macbook pro 2014, iphone 6, ipad air 2, and now apple watch. The apple watch replaces a lot of the iphone 6 so now I can get the iphone 6s plus to replace the phone and the tablet.

I feel the exact opposite. iPad? What's that? People still buy those?:p

That's why having different devices and combos is great. Personally I go watch, iPhone, Macbook Air 11.6". Had 3 iPads, but once I got the small Air, never saw the point.

I don't get it, leading upto the launch you were so pro apple watch. Was getting it on launch day that important ? Is it a lesser device cause it did not arrive on the 24th?

Having played with mine, it's actually above my expectations , honeymoon has just started. I'll come to a conclusion in about a weeks time if it's a device I want to keep, so far very positive.

Gee, same old song and dance:

https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/1871344/

I'm angered beyond means. I've waited long enough for this watch and even stayed late at night to order it at crack of 3am. Got my email confirmation at 3:04am and I thought I was part of the first batch. Now I get that ******** email we're working on your order. It better not be a ******** move not getting me my watch on Friday because I'll be pissed. Why would the people who ordered it late get "bumped" earlier than expected while people like us who stayed late get delayed? What a slap in the face. I'm contemplating returning this thing for pure anger at this point.

Ho, hum.

Here's the deal, it's a watch and fitness tracker that also shows you some notifications along with some other bells and whistles. Nothing more, nothing less.

It's not meant to be played with like an iPod or iPad or iPhone. Took me less than 6 hours of playing with my wife's to figure this out. I'm still very excited to get mine.

Hey, just some helpful advice. You don't need to justify anything.

If it makes you angry, just move on. Nothing in life is worth that.

As previously stated, if you are interested in the product, it's well worth testing out!

My love for the AW is fading rather quickly and I haven't even received it yes. I ordered the black SS and the SG 3 minutes after pre orders started and received May and June delivery dates.

I am not canceling the orders, but I may just sell them if/when I receive them. I may keep the Sport and save the money from the BSS for v2.

Undecided as of today. I will probably just stick to these mechanical watches even they do not do all the fancy stuff the AW does.

I did receive two of my three watches ordered for the family and YES I can still say disappointed. Sad my brother has to wait about another month for his SS LINK band and my daughters watch who knows when that is coming. It's nice to have two of them but still sucks apple can't seem to get things right. To be honest I would like to change my bands but can't do that with no accessorie in store or arrived yet. Always something to bitch about I guess

I love the Milanese loop. Disagree about the SG Sport. The Sports all look awful but again that's just my opinion. The three big problems I have are:
1. The O/S is slow and downright sluggish at times. Prob not going to change much. Apps should improve but still slow esp when the iPhone isnt in the same room.
2. Battery. It's average at best and I am being kind. I really need better battery life.
3. It's very expensive (and money is not on issue for me), but as an iPhone accessory I can't justify the cost after two days

Well, my two cents:

1. I only notice that with apps that have to download a lot of information from the phone - otherwise I haven't had that experience.
2. I was at 80% at 8am Saturday and finished with 25% at 1am. I used it quite a bit but not real intensive task.
3. Pricey- yes. But for a nice watch at a jewler I'm looking at $350-400. A couple hundred more for the added features isn't horrible IMO. Now if I'm buy a cheap digital watch, yes it's outrageous in comparison.

If I received my etch on launch date I would be a happy camper. This feels like getting excited to go to a fancy restaurant and not have you seated at your reservation time.

Absolutely Yes. Part of the magic of a purchase for me is the excitement of getting it and playing with it while the excitement of ownership is at its peak. This really left a sour taste to me. I was late ordering the 5s gold because I had to drop my people at the airport at launch day so I was 5 hrs late of preorder. I sucked it up because it was my fault and I owned up to the 1 month wait time. This is different because I really thought I did everything right.

Google negativity bias.

Anyway, I'm sorry you don't have your watch, but it just sounds like you're making up reasons to hate it because you didn't get it the second it came out. Just enjoy the ride.

When you get yours, Watch OS will probably have been updated to iron out a few kinks and you'll be getting a more polished product. Trust me, it's worth the wait.

Probably not. And part of that is me, cause of when I ordered my watches. But I still don't think this excuses :apple: from not preparing better. In a way I am frustrated for everyone, not just myself.

Me too I have a pack of automatic watches that I adore. Love the lex btw.

Wow, you're still on here throwing your toys out the pram? Dude, you need to get out more. You were given a 2 week window. There were short supplies, just like there always is for an Apple launch, but more so as this was a brand new product for them, with a complex selection of models/bands. If we were at the end of the 2 week window and you hadn't got your watch, then you would have grounds to be upset.

You're going to some next level extremes of toys out of pram. If I hadn't got mine on day one of the 2 week window, I'd be disappointed, but I'd go out with my mates, have a laugh and not be online all the time bitching and moaning....

Be honest, if you had received your watch on the 24th would you be disappointed in how Apple handled it? Probably not.

Exactly. It's just a tantrum for those that didn't get it on day one.
