I love mine. It's great. My husband loves his.

We now have kids who want them, too. LOL.

It's a great device, as long as your expectations are aligned with reality.

That said, your device isn't late until after 5/8/15, OP.

:D

Well aware of that bunn... Still doesn't negate the fact on where I stand. But hey that's how I feel not others. Lol

Ohh! I love the Deep Sea! I don't think the AW will ever replace it either.

The AW took some money from a Pam purchase!!

The prices keep on rising! I remember back in 1990, I was looking for a Sub and they were $2,100. 6 years later they were up to $5,000 and they ended up at $6,100 before the new ceramic models came out. The new ceramic is around $7,500.

The ceramic GMT is a little more.

Thanks, that GMT was difficult to find.

Rolex is like the Mercedes of watches... So classic and timeless. I wanna sell my portfolio to get one one day Bwuahaha

The initial novelty is wearing off, but replacing it are habits already forming of how I can use the watch in my day to day routines.

I love the fitness tracking more than I expected I would.

The notifications are really useful. The drawing and animated emoji and all that is just meh because my fingers are too fat.

The watch face with complications I've selected make it a great tool for a variety of tasks.

I use my phone a lot less which is both pleasant, and means the phone keeps a lot more battery charge in a day.

I love the look of it as a piece of jewelry.

3rd party apps take a bit of time to load but not a big deal. Anything accessible through glances is faster. Native apps are just fine.

It's actually exceeded my expectations. Not by any measure of a particular 'stat' like the milliseconds of UI lag, etc. but by the usefulness in my daily life. It's a handy tool to have immediately available on my wrist without pulling out my phone where I inevitably get distracted by the depth of things available there. For quick access to short tasks the watch excels.

Nothing, it's a nice device, just not anything amazing. I quickly realized that most of the apps are useless. Like, why would anyone check Instagram on a 1 inch screen?

Right... This is exactly what I meant by honeymoon is over. Thanks for clarifying reality.

I think users of iPhone 5/5s would get a little more out of it since they now have Apple Pay via the Watch's NFC chip but even if you have the latest iPhone, it is very useful. Do we need it? No, but we don't "need" an iPhone either.

Don't like it? Sell in on the Marketplace here. Get your money back and help someone who doesn't want to wait til July to get one.

We HAVE food, water, and oxygen. We NEED iPhones and WiFi.

I'm loving the watch and after a night out with friends it's benefits are even more apparent. The speed you can check notifications and texts over pulling out your phone means that you are not stood there like everyone else with their faces in their phones all night which is something I hadn't really noticed before. I left my phone in my jacket pocket all night and today was the same at home, I left the iPhone in the lounge and didn't need to touch it all day long.

Well I for a fact could care lesser and lesser about the watch anymore day by day. Sure I was excited about the watch and Lord knows yall know that in here... lulz. but then I realized there's the iPhone 6S plus and iPad mini 4 I could look forward to this year and it's right around the corner. iPhone still trumps everything.

Anyways, I'm starting to see more and more people losing interest with the watch or they are finding out the reality of the use or lack thereof the watch. Surely there's buyers remorse going on right now. Who's planning to return their watches? Discuss.

Keeping mine. Does more than my Pebble watch and looks better.

Smart watches aren't for everyone regardless if Apple made one or not.

lol sorry if I want something I buy it because I want to play with it asap. I'm not paying, not to mention expensive, for me to suffer, get mad and angry. Not trying to spark anything I'm just saying.

Dude, no offense, but you're always trying to spark something. It's nothing but entitled whiny drama with you. You didn't get your toy when you wanted it. Boo hoo. Waaaaaaa.

Only you would say not getting a freakin smartwatch on launch day is "suffering". Sheesh.

Watch is doing everything I expected it too. I have had zero problems with connectivity, notifications, the tactic engine or other complaints I've seen.

I would like to see more configuration settings for the various workout modes.

hi,

What fitness data can / can't the watch collect without the phone in your pocket during a workout?

Ps: I'm hoping that ALL fitness data: distance / steps / stairs / heart rate, can be collected during my workouts, and off loaded to my phone after I'm done, but I don't think that is the case.

Thanks in advance.

Best,
SvK

I know, man. I do. I'd be bummed if mine had not arrived on Friday.

Give it a try when it shows up this week (I bet it will). See if you like it and it suits your needs. You'll still have one before most other humans who might buy one. ;)

Yes. Posts like his make me start to want to come to this forum less. It used to be quite a useful place, but now it's just filling up with self entitled whining.

On the flipside, I got a new retina macbook and they hype is real with this one, money well spent. I am looking forward to my watch when it finally arrives, but my expectations are quite realistic of what it is intended to do for me. It will keep me in the loop when I need to know something is happening at work that needs immediate attention. After that, it is all gravy.

Yup point taken.

I've been watching reviews with it as well... What an amazing tech, congrats n the purchase to keep u occupied haha.

The expectation is real but the disappointment is genuine. Rule of marketing is to keep your buyers engaged and happy.

But you were never promised a launch day watch. If not getting it on launch day means you no longer want it, it's probably time to start reevaluating how you make your apple purchases.

If anything the more I wear it the more I am enjoying it.

Right. It was for me until now.... I'm well aware of apple launches though.

Add me to the growing list of people who love this watch. it was stated above but the novelty of the watch is being replaced (for me anyway) by the usefulness...

I also agree with the statement that if you think this watch is for instagram, fb, etc. you're just not getting the point. This watch would, without a doubt, suck for those uses. If you're looking for an iPhone on your wrist (may I suggest... http://www.cultofmac.com/239581/the-saddle-lets-you-mount-an-iphone-onto-your-wrist/) then this is not for you.

I've said it in several other threads but where this watch excels at is managing the information flow. I see it as sort of a gatekeeper that helps me decide what is important enough for instant notification or for what needs handled now.

My love for the AW is fading rather quickly and I haven't even received it yes. I ordered the black SS and the SG 3 minutes after pre orders started and received May and June delivery dates.

I am not canceling the orders, but I may just sell them if/when I receive them. I may keep the Sport and save the money from the BSS for v2.

Undecided as of today. I will probably just stick to these mechanical watches even they do not do all the fancy stuff the AW does.

Nice, is that a Casio?

:p
