$150? Yes, I can see that. $300? Definitely not, IMO. I'd rather get an iPhone 11 + iPad ($329), than just the iPhone Pro.
Considering iPhone pro will trade in for about 150 more than an 11 will there’s your 150 back.

Id counter your claim by stating that 90% of the people who pinch to zoom would use and value the tele lens if they knew the difference between optical and digital zoom and knew that optical zoom takes higher quality pictures.the telephono 3rd camera isn’t necessary for 90% of the general population.
This thread has turned in to non sense..
The Apple Watch 5 cost $399, add stainless and the price jumps to $699 add stainless band and the price jumps even further to $749.99.. a $300-$350 price jump just for material only..
now, paying an additional $300 for the iPhone 11 Pro that not only gives you stainless build design, stronger glass, twice the water resistance, telephoto lens, and a fast charger with a larger battery, and on top of all that you get a AMOLED panel in the phone..
All you hear is complaining about how outrageous this $300 is..
it is worth the damn $300.00....
Apple charges $300+ more in a watch with just a change in material.
these are TWO TOTALLY DIFFERENT PHONES!!! Nothing alike in feel, look, bezel thickness, display, resolution, and apparently even build quality and dust resistance.
I bought a iPhone 11 today. And I own a Pro Max too. If you have a iPhone 11, then great! Either one is a great device I think. But you cannot claim for a minute that you do not get a superior device for an extra $300 bucks. Because you really do! If you fail to see this in steel design and AMOLED you need to get your eyes checked. Other than that I’d move on and enjoy your iPhone 11.
I suppose if you want to hold something made with premium materials that’ll become a pain to use, if not borderline useless, once that 64gbs gets filled up then the $300 is worth it for sure. Otherwise pay more than $300 to get the 256gb pro model. This thread has turned in to non sense..

resale value is hardly a reason to go for any of these phones. High resale is a thing of the past.
I personally enjoy being offered twice the asking price of my phone and being asked to ship my phone to Africa after getting paid through a money gram... 😂I disagree to an extent, the iPhone has the best resale value of any smart phone on the market, the iPhone doesn’t compete against itself, it is competing against other devices like the latest android phones. Realistically, we are to a point where consumers are trading there devices versus selling them out right. Primarily because they’re not having to deal with fraud and it’s making an easier transition with carriers and Apple to provoke consumers to upgrade.

Exactly. That $300 is only for the base model then it goes way up
You need to to understand what you read as well as not be so emotional. Clearly the pro models are better, I don’t think anyone is disputing that. This thread is about seeing everyone point of view of the price difference since all 3 phones perform the same, have the same cameras minus the telephoto, same chipset and same OS and features. You get offended somehow because of this is kinda weird.
Apple charging an extra $300 for stainless steel on the watch in my opinion is absolutely ridiculous but they have ppl out there who will buy it. To each his own.
What does the speed of how fast you fill up your storage have to do with how much storage you actually need?If you fill 64GB up that quickly then 128GB is not enough either.
Source?Me and a huge chunk of the market buy 256GB iPhones.
Actually, the iPhone 11 and the 11 Pro Max show the exact same amount of information on their screens compared to to 11 Pro which show less. The 11 and 11 Pro Max are more comparable. The iPhone 11 256gb cost $300 less than a iPhone 11 Pro 256gb. These phones are more comparable in size than a pro Max would be.

What are the production numbers? Selling out first means nothing without knowing how many of each were for sale. I could just as easily assume that the reason they sold out first is because Apple doesn't sell very many and therefore doesn't make that many and they know the base storage is the number one seller therefore they make far more of those models. Neither one of us knows the reality. As for the 256GB iPhone Pro’s, they sold out first before any other storage size.

I don't think these boards are a good representation of the general public.I pre-ordered on the 13th. I followed every carrier thread on here in regards to colors and storage and what everyone ordered and when it was scheduled to get delivered. Very few people purchased the 64GB model if they went “Pro” same goes for the standard iPhone 11, that extra $50 went a long ways.

The people on here on tech enthusiasts and Apple fans and are more inclined to go for "bigger and better" than the average Joe. I would bet the average person balks at paying more for the already expensive phone just to get more storage.
A huge chunk of the market buys 256gb because there are no 128gb iPhone 11 pros. 128gb is the sweet spot.64GB has nothing to do with it. I don’t even own a 64GB iPhone.

iphone 11 256GB cost $849.99, the iPhone 11 Pro 256GB cost $1,149.99. This is a $300 dollar difference. If 0.3” of a screen difference matters that much then you can buy the larger model of course and spend more.

Exactly why Apple has the IUP. It gets people into the "it's only x amount per month" way of thinking. And then they tell you you can upgrade every year. That way they can have an endless stream of income. Brilliant!I don’t look at purchases like this with is it that much better than that. I see it like how much am I paying for the item?!
I’m on IUP, which is costing me £58.95 / month. That’s approx £2 / day, less than a cup of coffee. Is it worth it to me everyday more than a cup of coffee. Absolutely yes! No brainer.

I just checked the monthly fee for iup for the 256gb iPhone pro and it’s about $57 a month which over 12 months is about $684. That’s significantly cheaper than the standard $1200ish.I mean it’s not changing anything for me really. I’m going to keep buying phones as they get released either wayand if I choose not to upgrade one year then I just don’t upgrade. The total amount I’m going to spend is no different.
64gb is a joke especially with the 4K video file sizes and larger photo files these new cameras produce.Apple actually only bothered manufacturing a handful of 64GB phones. No one wants them, they mainly exist just to let Apple legally state "from $1099" in their adverts.
I would bet they manufacture and sell a lot of the 64GB phones. Most people are non tech and will just opt for the most affordable option. My prediction would be that the $699 iPhone 11 will be the best seller this year.Apple actually only bothered manufacturing a handful of 64GB phones.
