exactly what i'm still wondering..

I am interested to know this too! I may not have to wait for the unlocked version if you can buy from T-Mobile or Apple Store at full price and it is unlocked.

I will wait for the replies to roll in and see what is what! LOL!

Checking unlocked

Did anyone bought an iPHone 6 from TMOBILE STORE?

You can probably check whether it is unlocked by using your IMEI #.

Just google IMEI iphone and there are bunch of websites that you can check if the phone is locked or unlocked!

Also people who got their Tmobile iPhone 6 from APPLE STORE, just check your damn IMEI # using those websites and stop worrying about whether to first stick in your tmobile sim card or other carrier sim cards.

Still one confirmation missing:
INTERNATIONAL SIMS!

Anyone?

Hopefully I will have an answer shortly... Waiting on the phone to arrive and will activate with international sim card.

I will let you know... but there is absolutely no reason it would not work if it works with an ATT sim.

There is no such thing as a US only unlock.

I can have results for you guys by Monday as I'll be using the iPhone 6 that was purchased on the US Apple Store with my Canadian SIM card.

I work in the US from Monday to Thursday's so I didn't get a chance to pickup my delivery today which is currently sitting with front desk at the hotel I'm stay at. :)

Where???

Does anyone know iPhone 6 is unlocked if you buy from TMOBILE Store instead of Apple Store???

Supposedly, if you buy it full price from T-Mobile, it'll be unlocked....but I'd just wait and get one from Apple, no worries for sure that way.

It is Locked purchased directly from T-Mobile.

INTERNATIONAL SIMS!

Anyone?

I should be able to test that tonight. I normally use a StraightTalk in mine, but I also have a Swiss SIM that I can try. I will activate it with my StraightTalk SIM, but once that's done, I will try inserting my Swiss SIM. My Swiss SIM works in the US (it gets signal from AT&T via roaming).

But for now, I have to wait for the phone to be delivered at my house...

iPhone 6 off contract tmobile purchased from Apple.com works using a Wind Mobile (Canadian Sim).
Though I'm currently roaming in the US so it is using TMobiles network......

Tmobile iphone 6 purchased from tmobile store is not unlocked

Luckily for all you guys, I'm your guinea pig.

I purchased a iPhone 6 128GB from a T-Mobile store, and yes I payed in full. I tried putting an ATT sim in without ever turning on the phone and it was locked.

Sorry to everyone. Most of all, sorry to me.

How do you unlock it!?

Your last line says that ATT and tmobile phones come unlocked if you buy them device only. You stand by that 100% too? Try going to ATT and tell them you want to buy their unlocked version. They don't have an unlocked version. That's the whole point of this exhausting thread. Here you come, the last poster after four days and tell everyone that verizon, ATT and tmobile all sell unlocked phones. If one of these readers goes to ATT because you said the phones are unlocked, they are going to be very disappointed at you.

Just a followup....only ATT phones were left in the configurations I wanted this morning. Bought 2. Both are happily working with T-mobile SIM cards. So yes ATT phones bought Device Only at the Apple Store are unlocked again this year. So I don't believe anyone who took my advice will be disappointed in me.
