Well, it looks to me that everything should be OK, but anyway, I will wait for someone to show up with his new phone in Europe and test it here, on site :)

Just ordered online for pickup TMobile iPhone & iPhone Plus full price

On the apple web page that I bought the T-Mobile full price 2 iPhones, it says "Available today. We'll notify you when these items are ready.".

So that means they will message me during the day to go and pick them up on 5th Ave Apple store?

As far as I read from the thread, you say that the I can switch to any of Verizon, T-Mobile and ATT carriers with no problem and I will have all the advantage of all the carriers features. All carriers except Sprint. Correct? By the way my carrier is Sprint :( but without a contract :)

Also it doesn't matter if I turned the iPhone on with the T-Mobile sim card in it or remove it before I start the iPhone. Unlock is unlock. Correct?

And also, the 2 T-Mobile unlock full price iPhone's that I bought from Apple web site, they will work in any GSM carrier in Europe out of the box. Correct?

Thank you in advance for your replies.

I've always bought unlocked phones here in Belgium (because locked phones are forbidden by law). Anyway, these messages never appeared because the phone is unlocked by default. That "congrats you're unlocked" is only for previously locked phones I believe.

Got my T-Mobile iPhone 6 working just fine on AT&T. See you guys next year when we revisit this all over again in the thread "Are the T-Mobile iPhone 6s and 6s Plus unlocked?!". ;)

I can make phone calls but my data network will not activate. Help? ATT

Hi! Have you solved that problem? I've got the same thing...

----------

1) Let us know the steps you used to turn on the phone. Did you boot it with the T-Mobile SIM first?

2) Check to make sure cellular data is on (under Settings -> Cellular)

3) Try restarting the phone (though you've probably already tried this)

4) Try restoring via iTunes

If none of that works, let us know and we can offer up some other suggestions. Data is definitely working for me and did out of the box.

Hi rnizlek! I have the same problem as this guy, and have tried these methods but none of them worked.

Iphone 6 Modem Firmware version

When the phone arrives I put in the AT&T CamCard and everything seems to work perfectly. However all of my friends who have contracts with AT&T received a modem firmware update to 3.XX from AT&T. I went to settings Gen. about this phone and noticed that the modem firmware is 1.00.05. Check it out. My question is what's the big difference between the modem firmware versions on the unlocked T-Mobile phone and the AT&T contract phone?. Thanks for your responses.

Somebody, whose will use iphone outeiro USA, tried do full restore to confirm if will receive that message "Congratulation this iphone is unlocked"?

T-Mobile installment plan locked?

I've seem reports that even purchases on T-mobile.com or in-store were indeed unlocked, which I assume were for the full price. Has anyone confirmed that purchases on the installment plan were indeed locked?

You were told wrong. Full priced from from T-Mobile is locked. From the Apple website or retail store is unlocked.

i got the TMO contract free, with ATT sim in it working perfectly fine. However I got a text message from ATT telling me I need to go to ATT to get a SIM card to be able to use all the services. Whats going on...

I got the same one: "ATT Free Msg: Your new device requires a new SIM card to give you access to all services. Please visit your local ATT store to get a new SIM. Thanks."

Took it to att and they said that my sim was the newest type. I have noticed 4G connection a bit more than I would have expected. Wonder if that's related.

So any1 can confirm that the T Mobile full price from apple store can be activated with the supplied T Mobile SIM card and still be unlocked/sim free?
Thanx

Thanks for clarifying. I also went to Tmo store and was told paying upfront gets you the unlocked and in installments calling after 30 days of service they will unlock - unless you stop paying. I would only need it unlocked ASAP or in December. Might just get from Apple just to be safe.

Even full priced it will be locked. To have it unlocked from T-Mobile one of the requirements is to have it active on your account at least 40 days.

Guys, sprint full price is unlocked? Will work at Brasil?
No. Either T-Mobile, AT&T or Verizon full price "Device Only" from the Apple store are unlocked.

Do they not have stock of those versions?

According to the above, your phone will work on UTMS (3G), EDGE (2G) and GPRS/GSM (1G) but not on LTE (4G). I believe TDD-LTE and FDD-LTE are different protocols than the traditional LTE found on the T-Mobile iPhone 6.
I heard that my friend bought ATT unlock iphone 6 with full price. So I think in this case IF there is Sprint unlock version, then the Sprint one will work in Hong Kong right? Since apple showing that Sprint iphone 6 model is same as Hong Kong one. thanks

Hi! Have you solved that problem? I've got the same thing..

You have to call AT&T (or do online chat) to have them add the phone to their system. Takes five minutes tops. I did online chat and had to give them my IMEI and ICCID numbers from my phone. The CSR entered in the numbers, had me reboot the phone, then I was up and running with LTE data.

Because in Apple retail only have sprint option. The model a1549 Works either GSM and CDMA? Or there is mode a1549 GSM and another a1549 CDMA?
