You are asking if this AT&T rep is lying. That's quite a nasty accusation. After reading what you wrote in your post, there is no evidence of any lying on her part. So the answer is no, she isn't lying, and your thread title is making some very nasty and completely baseless accusation.

Do you actually understand the meaning of the word "lying"?

May I ask what micro sim adapter you are using?

The same ones that are all over eBay. Here's a $2 one from USA. Here's a $1 one from China (if you don't mind waiting a couple of weeks).

EDIT: I should add that you should NOT use a micro SIM adapter + micro SIM in an older iPhone. I tried it with my 3GS and it got misaligned inside. I had to open it up to get it out.

From dictionary.com:

ly·ing
–noun
the telling of lies; untruthfulness.

Michael: No, I want to be able to remove the SIM card from my current phone, and put it in the Nokia 2330 so I can use the same number.
Michael: Can I do that?
Annie: I'm afraid not.
Michael: But I have another phone that I do it with. Why wouldn't this work?
Annie: Our GoPhones are designed to work with Pay as you go service only.

Seeing as what the representative said to me above was not truthful, I believe that would be classified as a lie.
