yes tomorrow is the day!

actually the thread is just asking if tomorrow is the day.. and the answer can Be YES.. depends on which of the two statements best suit you..
1. is tomorrow the day when there'll be an update for the MBP
2. is tomorrow the day when we have to wait some more:D

c'mon guys! it's just a laptop !! ( i'm convincing myself as well!):D

"no cheap plastic finish" ...uh huh?

MBP is, and will more than likely remain, anodized aluminum.

If they do update the case (new keyboard), I really hope the top panel will fit on the current SR MBP as I'm not a fan of the current keyboard.

10.5.2 is out, MacBook Pros Feb 12th?

Well, 10.5.2 has FINALLY been released via software update. Does this hint at this tuesday (Feb 12th) being the announcement/release of the Penryn MacBook Pros? What do you think?

In my opinion it wont be, i think its been a little longer than normal update because they re doing a case redesign... and like the imac will probably have a small scale release.

This is because the MBP is their flagship model.... I'm thinking an update in late feb/early m tmrw arch

People mentioned sumwer in the forum tht instead of feb 12 to be MBP day, it wud be the 10.5.2. But if it came out the day before Tuesday the 12th, it means that something is bound for the 12th of feb! I really really hope so!

Holy crap i hope the new MBP's come out tomorrow...i've been waiting over a year (hoping for a 12" or 13" MBP)....at this point i'll take a nice update to the 15.4" machine.

It's really hard to say. I recently noticed the new MBP SKUs appearing in our store system (best buy), and it said there was an in stock date of 2-10-08. I checked on these new SKUs yesterday and found the date to be changed to May 4, 2008. I'll show you all the picture with reference to what I'm talking about.

With that said, the current MBP SKUs list the items status as deleted. Who knows? Check out the pic and see what you think.

So you know : yes, there are two other SKUs (total of three) also with the same price points as the current SR MBPs. The one I pulled up was the $1999 version.

Very interesting post!

So wait just to confirm, you're saying that there was a stock date of Feb 10 for some new macs - but now that date is in May? And then on top of that, your CURRENT stock says deleted? Seems pretty inconclusive - but VERY interesting!

i doubt a case redesign will go unannounced officially, so this "event" that's happening at the end of the month will most likely feature the new MBP we've all been painstakingly waiting for, or else.....................

Your interpretation is exactly right. I was rather confused when I checked to see if any more info had been listed on the product but found the in stock date to be changed. With that said, best buy sucks and rarely has all of their information in line. So, just as you said, this is very, very inconclusive. I just thought it was interesting and worth posting.

Well sources said that the new MBP were listed having 10.5.2. So now that Apple released the update today, anything is possible.
