Screen protector, rear skin, folio cover, and neoprene sleeve. No scratches. Never been this careful with anything else I own.

Only use the smart cover, which I use mainly for the stand functionality, but I'm fairly careful with my iPad.

I have a couple scratches on the back and a couple of light scratches on the screen, but nothing I'm worried about. I'd much rather use the device how it's intended and then sell it once the next iPad is released, rather than wrap the device in ugly skins and cases.

Only 5 months of ownership w/ shields on all around, so it's in impeccable condition. Got a sgp ultra coat on the way to replace the zagg so pretty stoked about that. :D

agreed!

My iPad is pretty scratched up right where the magnets connect to the back (on the spine side). Not really a big deal, but I'm surprised Apple would release an accessory that damages the iPad.

Spent for more than 200 on different accessories to protect the iPad .... Still full of dents and scratches!

Ipad 1 from day one. I use the Apple case and no screen protector. I travel a ton for work, and the Ipad 1 is my constant companion. After dozens of planes, trains, and automobile rides, if there are scratches, I can't notice them. Maybe if I looked really hard I'd find one...

Heavy usage both at work, home, business and private travels, have soft scratches on the home button and one miniscule dent in front panes edges where we aligned the smart cover.
Not really happy when knowing it, but well... it's been my war machine ever since I bought it, and maybe only me know this flawless... :D

iPad1 with Apple case and it does have a few very fine scratches but pretty impressive considering how much abuse its taken.

now i find that incredible.. why would you spend $200 on accessories to protect an ipad.. you can replace it for less than that even if its damaged.. ???

mine is in a simple case.. only because i need the case as a stand.. nothing else.. some of these covers just make the damn thing look ugly

some people just get crazy about a scratch or two, i was on the same tough, until i realized what tha hell, its just a scratch :D

anyway mine is naked and even that way is scratchless :p

Same.

some hairline scratches on the glass of my 2nd gen iPad. i have a folio case for the device and regularly bring the device with me to work and on business trips. reminds me of the same scratches that were on my iPhone 3.

this is definitely not using the same grade glass that the iPhone 4 and 4s uses.

Mine isn't, and it wasn't when I got it.

My first iPad 2 had a bunch of dust under the screen. I returned it and got another one that ended up with 3 dead pixels. I returned that one and got another one that had dust under the screen again. They agreed to exchange one last time but basically blamed the dust on me saying that I must use it in a dusty environment. (I don't. It goes back and forth with me to an office building and is kept in a dedicated pocket of my backpack. When I'm not using it. I also use a port cover and headphone jack cover to keep dust out.)

So my final one appeared perfect at the store under their lighting, but when I got it home and started putting my back cover and a new screen protector on it, I noticed a scratch on the screen. It's on the black bezel area, not the part of the screen that actually gets used. It also had two small specks of dust under the screen.

I wrote an e mail to Tim Cook and he had one of his "customer relations managers" call me. I told her my story and how the last genius I talked to had blamed the problem on me and that the final unit I got even had a small scratch on the glass. She told me that iPads are a mass produced item and the glass is not the type of glass they would put on the Hubble Telescope or anything, so that she was hoping I was happy with this final iPad I received. In other words, I was politely told to buzz off.

Long story short, I have never gotten an iPad 2 that was perfect. It would have been nice to at least be able to say I scratched it on my own rather than getting it pre-scratched from Apple, but at least it's only on the bezel area, and with the screen protector on I can't tell it's there anyway. I have learned to live with it and I still enjoy my iPad immensely even with that small scratch.

Mine is still perfect. Never dropped it on the ground either, came close once, but I ended up catching it.

It seems a lot of people shattered their screens, cause I see a lot of people at my College with Shattered iPhone screens, Android Phones as well.

No scratches since I've had a screen protector on it since day one, but there's a dent on the back from when I dropped it in the gym. Babying electronics is stupid. They are here to make our lives easier, not more complicated! My iPad gets used, hard.

Yeah, I don't believe you either.

My iPad is approximately 17 months old, and it is flawless. I have absolutely no dents, or scratches anywhere on the device. I plan to keep it in perfect condition for when I gift it to my brother when iPad 3 is available.
