Everybody's does.. whether your carrier allows it to work without paying for their ridiculous tethering plans is another story.
I stopped reading after "show me." If anyone says that to me my usual response is to show them the door. I abhor spoon feeding.Coincidentally, I live in Missouri, the Show Me State. If it's so easy, someone around here should settle the discussion once and for all.
Remember, they may have a web server to host activations/image downloads of the software, but there may be infrastructure behind the scenes, too.
That's my biggest gripe here, we just don't know HOW they're doing it.

So feel free to believe every single byte is being funneled through this tiny little company's "server farm." lol

Yes but now you can play dumb and say "but I bought it from the App store"
I hope this was a joke. There is an app needed for both Windows and Macs to make this all work. There is no such iPad app.Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; CPU iPhone OS 5_0_1 like Mac OS X) AppleWebKit/534.46 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.1 Mobile/9A405 Safari/7534.48.3)
I'm curious if you take the iPad adaptor for the tv and plugged in another USB cord and see if it would work?
Update 2: Tether claims "We were very clear with Apple what our app did. They asked us a bunch of questions and then approved us." So it may not be getting pulled.
