What??? 99 cents! That is such a rip-off. Apple's a world class company they should be able to do better than that. god, how can I ever accept something like that.

Lest anybody fool you into thinking the selection is good, it is abysmal.

But, the Canadian music store seems to have a good contingent of Canadian music, which is awesome. They even (sort of - glitchy right now) have Jakalope.
 
Buying

OK, I bought an album...

While downloading, about halfway thru, my system crashed... not an iTMS issue..

Anyway, how do I re-download something without re-paying b/c my acct. shows that I got the entire album....?

Go under "Check For Purchased Music" in iTunes (under the "Advanced" menu) and you should be reconnected - downloading should pick up where it left off.
 
Free Songs

If you want free songs look at some of the Imixes there is one entitled Itunes Free Songs although there are only 2 free songs in there. Guess you might have to keep searching.

It seems to me that's not unusual for a launch, there are still deals to go into place (if Sony/BMG is still holding out as was rumored a couple of days ago, that would put a big hole in the collection).

Maybe the UK people can chime in, but it seems to me that their store grew quite rapidly after the initial launch?

Yeah I'm not worrying, I can wait to buy the albums once t hey get uploaded, just the fact that I CAN buy music now makes me happy.

i was just doing some investigating with great big sea. all of their albums are on the us music store.

Only one of their albums is on the canadian music store..its warner music canada. But i'm pretty sure all their albums are under warner music canada so you'd think those would be there too...
 
The selection doesn't seem that good. There is little of the stuff I listen to.

No Star Wars, Trek which is a tad weird, because its on most other iTMS stores.

HOWEVER, I'm not complaining ( that much ) because iTMS is here now and I expect Apple will add plenty more music.
 
I can't access the Canada store. It is 11:45 pm EST. I see the Canada flag, but every time I click on it, it defaults back to the US store. When I try to enter my account info, it tells me to 'click here' if my address isn't a US one. I do so, pick Canada as my choice, and once again am shot back to the US store.

Anyone else having problems now? :confused:

I had that happen, I chose to change stores and it let me in. I'm sitting on right now previewing the latest Tragically Hip, so it's definitely working...
