I have a horror story for you. The night U2's "The Complete U2" came out on iTMS, around midnight EST, I decided to purchase it even though I own all U2 albums.
There were too many rare tracks to pass up...even for $149.
Well apparently, I caught the iTMS store just as it was updating, and although I tried to purchase the digital box set I was given a message that it was no longer online or available.

I tried again a bit later, and was given the same message.
I figured the purchase didn't go through as I was never asked for verification of purchase (which I have set by default), so I'd try again the next day.
Well, the next day, I was quite surprised to find not one, but TWO invoice receipts in my mailbox, for $149 each (plus taxes). I had been charged twice for songs that I thought I had not purchased at all.
Needless to say, I wrote to Apple support and pleaded my case. I even mentioned that I had not downloaded any of the tracks.
I was told that my case would be sent to iTMS engineers because they were curious about what had happened.
Haven't heard back, hope it can be corrected.

Yes, I"m having the exact same problem: I see the Canadian flag, but takes me to the U.S. store. So near yet so far!!!!

Just bought Return of the Rentals. 9.90$ CDN, that's cheap, considering the album can easily cost around 15$-20$ in a music store...

Does iTunes Music Store links to specific store? Like for instance, this link bellow... Does it forwards you to the U2 album in the US Store or the Canadian Store?

When I went to it, it took me to the Canadian store. Also, it had some Canadian artists at the top - The Tragically Hip and Diana Krall.... and Alanis Morissette, and Sarah McLachlan are around the middle of the page
EDIT: at the bottom there is a "Our Greatest Canadians" section

Edit: closed and restarted iTunes... it now loads the Canadian store.

Canada Flag goes to US iTMS
I am having the same problem described before (the Canada flag opens the US iTMS, so I cannot register there). I guess the update is just taking place, so I can wait a little more.

P/ To me it is clear that they worked their asses off to meet their self-imposed deadline, and they delivered, despite the bunch of people, and organizations involved that tried to make it more difficult.

Duff-Man says....keep in mind that the labels and companies involved are quite often different in Canada than in the USA or elsewhere...it may take a little time for the catalogue to grow. Was there not one of the rumour sites reporting that some of the agreements do not take effect until Jan 1st? Perhaps we will see more stuff added after that.....oh yeah!tutubibi said:
