John Gruber posted his predictions on Daring Fireball.
He says:
-iTUNES-What makes iTunes such an odd duck for Apple is that it’s not just a Mac app — there are far more iTunes users on Windows, and but there is no 64-bit Cocoa runtime for Windows. So here’s my pet theory: at some point iTunes will be rewritten using WebKit to render the UI. I’m not saying iTunes will become a web browser — just that the UI itself will be a WebKit view. WebKit is cross-platform and built for the future.
Here's my final "three-day wild guess" on what we'll see on 9 September 2009:
1) Steve Jobs will host the keynote address.
2) Will announce that the iTunes Store now sells an amazing 25% of all new music in the USA.
3) Will demonstrate iTunes 9.0 with QuickTime X, available immediately in a 64-bit version for MacOS X 10.6 and Windows Vista/7 in 64-bit mode. Will use somewhat revamped interface, adds social network support for Facebook and MySpace, and adds support for the "Cocktail" digital album liner note format.
4) Announces the phaseout of the iPod shuffle (!).
5) Announces the new 5G iPod nano with new, wider aspect ratio screen and "Cocktail" digital album liner note format support. Will be available in three versions:
a) 8 GB with no camera/microphone (US$99). Case color will be silver only.
b) 16 GB with 3.2 megapixel camera/microphone (US$149). Case colors will the same as current 4G iPod nano selection.
c) 32 GB with 3.2 megapixel camera/microphone (US$199) Case colors will be black and Product Red only.
6) Announces new 7G iPod classic with new, higher-resolution and wider aspect ratio screen (smaller click wheel to accommodate wider aspect ratio screen) and "Cocktail" digital album liner note format support. Storage capacity is now 160 GB using a new 1.8" single platter drive, and case colors will be silver and black only. Possibility exists for 128 GB flash memory storage if Apple can secure supplies at a decent price in lieu of 160 GB hard drive. Will be priced at US$249, the same as the current "6.5G" iPod classic.
7) Announces new 3G iPod touch, essentially an iPhone 3Gs with no cellphone function. Will incorporate new 3.2 megapixel sensor camera on back of player, will incorporate iPhone 3.1 software with full "Cocktail" digital album liner note support. Will be priced at US$199 (16 GB), US$299 (32 GB) and US$399 (64 GB).
8) Announces deal to offer the remastered Beatles albums on iTunes Store, to be available for download including the full "Cocktail" digital album liner notes in mid-November 2009.
No way will they get rid of the shuffle tomorrow. After the cameras are in all the other ipods, this is the only device that will be allowed in health clubs.
4) Announces the phaseout of the iPod shuffle (!).

Reported today on NME.com. Dunno what it ultimately means...
"Paul McCartney has told NME.COM that he wants The Beatles songs to be available as downloads.
The Fab Four's work has long been absent from official download services, but the bassist and songwriter said he and the band are keen for them to be available online and blamed record label EMI for the delay.
"We were having problems with iTunes well not iTunes, EMI was the problem with downloading, which we'd like to do because that's how a lot of people get their music," explained McCartney.
However, the legend suggested the band have managed to get round the problem by getting involved in the new 'The Beatles: Rock Band' game, which is released tomorrow (September 9).
"We've kind of bypassed that [download problems] because now you can do it in 'Rock Band'," he said. "I always liked that, when you're told you can't do something and suddenly there's a little route round the back.""
