Why is that sad? Sometimes, I'll listen to a song over and over, then move on. Other times, I'll randomize my collection so I don't know what I'll be listening to.

There are many different styles of music out there which some people love and some people hate - but it's a personal preference, and music is a very personal thing - as a result, that doesn't make liking a certain genre "right or wrong". The same goes with how people listen to their music - it's a very personal thing, and I don't think you can say one listener's preferred method is "sad" just because it differs from your method.

I couldn't agree more. Except for country music, of course.

Most excellent. I'm going on vacation to Philadelphia to a convention for the second week of July. Getting my hands on this before then will pass the time on the plane quickly.

All country music should be labeled weapons of mass destruction and banned from this Earth..check that this solar system. No lets make it the galaxy. I don’t want some stray radio wave to pass the Earth and have me pick it up and gag to death. I like every other type of music out there. Jazz, rap, classical, hip hop, blues, bluegrass, pop, I even like some of that stuff that skirts the edge of country with pop but I have literally kicked someone out of my car for changing the station to a country music station while I was filling up the gas tank. Admittedly it was only 3 blocks to his house but he dang well walked those 3 blocks. My car, my home, my computer is twangy country music free!!!

I'm not particularly a fan of Country Music either. Everyone has different tastes in music and so should be allowed that enjoyment. Mine is mainly classical along with movie soundtracks.

I agree. I, too, do not like country, but am tolerant of people who do - everyone has their own tastes! I like pretty much everything else though, it just depends on the quality of the music (regardless of style), what mood I'm in, and things like that. And yes, I like classical music as well, I actually perform with the Symphony Orchestra here!

Hey, someone like me. :) It's doesn't hurt that I love figure skating, so I've gotten a fair bit of exposure.

Country Music is to Music as the Special Olympics is to the Olympics.

The Pacific Canadian iTMS is still up and running. The iTMS doesn't go down on account of a new release of iTunes. Such as Engadget is reporting would really require a full version change, not a dot release.

if released tomm.. then will it have stuff inside it that proves a video pod is on the way? im sure some clever coders here could find out :p

I can honestly say that I do not believe they will release 4.9. Only the normal new music. It would be more intelligent make it on the "big" press conference. They need all the free publicity they can get.

okay so i click podcasts, click podcast directory and get taken to the itms where i can't see a single word about podcasts :/

[edit]okay so you have to click audiobooks and then there is a podcast list in there.

Always happy to have another update from Apple. Hopefully it will include the items that everyone is interested in having.
