In addition to numeric names now coming after "z" in alphabetical sorts, phrasings that begin with the word "A" (as in "A Band Of Bees") are properly sorted by overlooking the first word, just like phrasings that start with the word "The" (As in "The Beatles.")

I'm looking around in the Localizable.strings for the new iTunes and look what I found under iPhone:

"4320.136" = "Sending workout data to nikeplus.com…";
"4320.137" = "Downloading Nike + iPod voice kit…";
"4320.138" = "Installing Nike + iPod voice kit…";

I know it says iPod, but why is it under iPhone?

iTunes 7.3 will not update

My software update said 7.3 was ready to be downloaded, but I am still running 7.2. I even downloaded 7.3 manually from apple.com but still 7.2... Any help??

the sport kit is all bluetooth...so maybe the iPhone can communicate with the sensort which goes into the shoe!

I had the update to the library too. Appears to be related to calculating SoundCheck values for podcasts (a long time iTunes bug, which drove me insane), as I saw iTunes do a quick song volume check on my podcasts. Finally, the same volume for all of my podcasts!

I suspect that would mean you might be able to use the Nike+ transmitter with the iPhone as well (even cooler of course would be if the iPhone could natively communicate with a Nike+ receiver without any add-ons).

This would make sense; the Nike+ kit doesn't support full iPods because they are hard-drive based and wouldn't be good for running, but the flash-based iPhone should support it just fine.

This is great :) we just got a new wireless router which is s**t hot and I can actually download updates without having to move my Macs closer to the router :D

Anyroad. Downloading now. XP and OSX. And yes - tonight Apples servers will be hit hard.

anyone else having itunes freeze after its opened (after converting library)

i deleted my itunes prefs file, and it was fine, until i tried to login to the store (for album art) and it never even got to ask me for details, it just hung. maybe the store is un-responsive? :(

If you do a search for "ringtones" in the iTMS and then sort by time, there are a lot of small (time wise) file, which I assume are for the iPhone as ringtones.

Thought I'd point it out....

Just need to wait until Q4 2007 for my iPhone :(

I noticed this too. It's the same with special characters. Tunes labeled similar to 'Deed I Do (with an apostrophe as the first character) are now listed properly under the D's (or appropriate letter) instead of listed at the top as they have always been. A small, but very welcome improvement
