lol why do they always release new updates when i remove and reinstall boot camp, i'm windows now and i'm stuck have to update stuff in here before trying this update :(

With all the information flowing around i am not sure but did apple and at&t say that there was not applecare and/or insurance for the iPhone because as per one of my previous post I find this line rather interesting

com.apple.iPhoneCare

Also follow this link for the user manuals, not available yet, sure it will get hammered when online.

I edited my post as well. We're cool. :)

Glad to hear

I grabbed it off of Software update and now it won't open. The triangle underneath in the dock blinks about 3 times then nothing.

I tried restarting, trashing prefs, and even trashing the app and downloading again directly from apple's page, but no luck.

I've got a 2.33 Intel Core 2 duo MBP with 10.4.10 and all other updates.'

Bad time to break down with the apple store crowded today. :(

Voice memos? That would be a new feature. According to early reports, there is no voice memo feature on the iPhone: https://www.macrumors.com/2007/06/27/pogue-answers-common-iphone-questions/

The localized strings sometimes do not match the actual functions of iTunes - so we wont know if thats just in there or if it actually is a feature until we get out hands on an iPhone:)

On edit: Pogue - Im not too sure if he knows everything - more than one have already been proven wrong (using more than one ringtone at a time for example)

Photo streaming on AppleTV

I like the new UI....gives a Leopard look to iTunes ;)

This was exactly what I've been waiting for! Thanks so much Apple! :D

I just clicked on my AppleTV icon in iTunes and clicked on the Photos tab and selected "All Photos and Albums". All my photos streamed perfectly and MOST importantly, the dozens of slideshows I've created in iPhoto streams with music! Now I don't have to sync a single song on the :apple: tv to play in its slideshow feature. Heck, I won't be needing the slideshow function in :apple: tv. Who the heck needs the HD now when you can steam everything!!! :D

hmm..

haven't read any posts, but my itunes no longer will launch now. any suggestions anyone?

For example there is an entry in the localized strings

3700.001 Creative Nomad Jukebox
3900.002 Your Rio firmware has been successfully updated

I tried installing this on the work PC (windows). And it says "A later version of iTunes is already installed. Installation of this version cannot continue.

I'll try this on the iMac at home tonight

iPhone require 10.4.10

"162.066" = "iPhone requires Mac OS X 10.4.10 or later.";

I'm looking around in the Localizable.strings for the new iTunes and look what I found under iPhone:

"4320.136" = "Sending workout data to nikeplus.com…";
"4320.137" = "Downloading Nike + iPod voice kit…";
"4320.138" = "Installing Nike + iPod voice kit…";

I know it says iPod, but why is it under iPhone?

That is just the way the file is organized, nothing more. See it goes iPod games, iPhone then Nike + iPod

/* Kind string for iPod games */
"4304.018" = "iPod game";
"4304.019" = "Version: ";
/* ===== iPhone Strings ===== */
"4305.001" = "iTunes cannot read the contents of the iPhone “^1”. Go to the Summary tab in iPhone preferences and click Restore to restore this iPhone to factory settings.";
"4305.002" = "iTunes cannot read the contents of the iPhone “^1”. You must restore this iPhone to factory settings before you can use it with iTunes. Would you like to restore this iPhone now?";
"4305.003" = "The iPhone “^FILENAME” cannot be used with iTunes because the IMEI is incorrect.";
"4305.004" = "The iPhone “^FILENAME” cannot be used with iTunes because the SIM card is not installed. You must insert your SIM card into your iPhone in order to activate it.";
"4305.005" = "The iPhone “^FILENAME” cannot be used with iTunes because the activation state could not be determined.";
"4305.006" = "The iPhone “^FILENAME” could not be activated because the activation information was invalid. Please try again later.";
"4305.007" = "The iPhone “^FILENAME” could not be activated because the activation information was missing. Please try again later.";
"4305.008" = "The iPhone “^FILENAME” could not be activated because an unknown error occurred (^ERRORNUMBER). Please try again later.";
"4305.009" = "iPhone requires Mac OS X 10.4.10 or later. Choose “Software Update” from the Apple menu to update your computer to a later version of Mac OS X.";
/* ===== Nike + iPod Strings ===== */
"4306.001" = "When you are ready to send your workout data to nikeplus.com, click Nike + iPod (in iPod preferences), and then enter your Nike login ID and password, or create a new Nike account.";

well after a restart it was no better for me, so im currently waiting for itunes to reimport my library from the XML file, but it seems to hang partway through that too.

i also renamed the /Library/iTunes/ folder so in case it was a visualizer problem.

ok well thanks to the wonders of Activity Viewer, it seems that iTunes is going through (getting details not held in the XML maybe?) every file one after the other.
