Browsing with FireFox on windows XP is there any way to find where the video clip saves to.
Well, others have already given links to the video file, but for future reference..

Go to Tools (or right click) -> Page Info -> Media -> (select item you want to save) -> Save As.

Oh, how I hate ads.

This ad doesn't seem better than last years' to me... but then again, I never saw the problem with last years'... just another ad.

Apple's own iPod ads I can at least appreciate as standing above the crowd. I still don't want them on my TV :)

The ad is better than the "I fought the Law" one. Maybe the promo will have more success this time! Not only is the commercial better but the iPod is reach greater mass.

I know what you mean. I'm in Los Angeles and didn't really start seeing the caps until about a month or month and a half before the thing was over. Pepsi was still shipping the bottles with some Lakers contest. Bah!

They're a little slow getting out again, but at least they're starting to appear. I checked out three 7-Eleven stores. One didn't have anything, one had only 1-Liter Pepsi bottles with the yellow caps, and the last one I checked had 20-oz. Pepsi bottles and 1-Liter Diet Pepsi bottles with the caps. None had the Slurpee cups. At least I'm 1-for-1 so far. ;)

Looks like Colorado might get screwed again. Not one confirmed winner. Last year I couldn't find one bottle with the promotion anywhere (but it's not like I checked every outlet). If anybody in the Denver area knows where you can get 'em this year, please let me know! Otherwise I'll have to stick to drinking Coke (which I prefer anyways)...

Well, it looks like Napster has booked a spot during the superbowl too.

I cant wait until napster go bust. :D

Makes me wonder what their burn rate is, and how long it will take them to go through all the cash they had a headstart with.

re: itunes commercial- I really wanted to see a sillhouette commercial. That would've been coolewr i think, and would've generally made people link it to apple/ipod/itunes, no?

I think this years superbowl ads are going to be pretty lame. according to an article on money.cnn.com < http://www.cnn.com/2005/TECH/ptech/02/02/cells.young.drivers.ap/index.html > the good ads have been pulled b/c they might be too clean. And thus the only thing left will be to parade around a bunch of high dollar celeberties holding whatever product the company wants to sell. BIG DEAL!!! i want to see the ads for the unusual, funny, and most importantly the risky ads! oh well. hopefully the football game will be good!

Not sure where Firefox keeps its cache, but Mozilla on WinXP keeps the cache at C:\Documents and Settings\*user account name*\Application Data\Mozilla\Profiles\default\00urtsw8.slt\Cache

thanks to both you guys - That helps alot!

I still say a much better ad then last years, And the free songs are for people who already have an iPod (so they already know apple).

Just out of curiosity... does anyone have last year's commercials? I did not see them and would really enjoy seeing what people are comparing this new one to. For that matter, I'd like to see any Apple commercial pre-iPod commercials because those are the only ones I have seen (or can at least remember)

Try ifilm.com, I think they have them.

Apple is not a sponsor of this promotion...

I think the ad is fine for Pepsi, but does Apple no good -- just like last time.

Folks, you have to remember something: Apple is NOT a sponsor of this promotion, as is stated at the end of the official rules. Pepsi can do whatever they want with their advertising. This is not advertising for Apple, it is advertising for Pepsi for which Apple gets a little airtime for free.

Yes, it's a good deal for Apple. With promotion Apple is in a win win situation. Better the Apple saves its money and uses it for R&D.

Busted

Just thought you would like to know I got bused at one of our local seven dayy stored for tilting Pepsi bottles looking for winners. The Pepsi Vendor was pissed and asked that I put them back in the order I found them, I refused and just bought all the Pespi's anyways to be a jerk. So my tip, be careful when you tip :)

In the ad, as the bottle cap spins into view, you can see that it is blank on the outside. Here's a frame from the ad and what the real caps look like.

This ad on the surface makes more sense than the last ad. Anyone watching it intuitively knows that you are winning free songs on select Pepsi products. The last ad was a little more confusing for someone who has no idea what the promotion was.

That's just stupid. As long as you're going to pay for the sodas, what's the harm? Well, I guess from Pepsi's point of view, the less winning caps that are redeemed, the less they have to pay Apple for the songs. But still.

Pepsi's probably hoping that a lot of people will buy the bottles during this promotion, but get the non-winning ones. That way they'll sell a lot of soda and also avoid having to pay Apple for the song.

i didnt see last years advert but this new one is pretty poor. meh, probably because the whole world likes RnB these days they just had to make an 'urban' ad.

ill be quiet now

That new pepsi/iTunes add is pretty awesome. Both apple and pepsi are great advertisers. I need music so I better start buying pepsi!!!!

IMHO, I liked last years ad much better. Did anyone else notice the temporary freeze in the feed?
