I don't understand all the complaints about iTunes, it works great for me. Never had any issues at all. Maybe it's just the windows version that people don't like?

I use it on OSX. It's so slow, poor features, ugly, choppy as heck in grid mode, has messed up tags for me...it's just really really bad. How many songs do you have? I own about 100 gigs of (yes, paid) music...it just can't handle it at all.

Yeah, same. I think it works well. Like everything else, it's missing stuff I'd like to see and has stuff I'll never use (add this rumored functionality to the list) but it does what it does quite well for me.

Sounds like you need iTunePro:D:D

I do not care

I'd rather see more worthwhile things get added to iTunes. Not sure what those things are as I do not have a wish list. I just do not see using this feature ever.

So if I share a link to a song in itunes store, and someone buys it after clicking on it, do I get a commission?

Here's a new idea.

Take iTunes and strip ALL of the **** out of it so it JUST PLAYS MUSIC!

Then make a new app that can handle the itunes store and syncing ipods

^^^^^ This. I dont want to see what all my friends are listening to cause they all listen to ****** music.

Wow, that's a lot of compressed music! I hope you back up :)

In the left window if itunes, you have library categories at the top. For video they have TV Shows and Movies. They need a category for Music Videos. I have to make a smart album for this.

What the hell is going on at Apple
This is a lousy idea.
Adding more bloat to an already bloated piece of software just to play this whole consumer electronics game is wrong.
They should be upping the ante with abilities to play HiRes music files and better audio output rather than this puerile crap.
I love Apple still, but they are really worrying me with these childish consumer products all the while drifting further and further from high end pro type appliances and equipment. :(

Whatever...I just hope that we dont have to listen to Steve O talk about this for 15 minutes on Thursday. Even he cant sell this to me as cool or revolutionary.

Rated as a negative and here is why...

Many of my friends have left facebook. With facebook forever making changes to the home page and layout, many have become upset with the changes and how buggy / error prone facebook has become. facebook also has had many viruses. not a problem for mac users, but for those using itunes on windows that makes them even more vulnarable.

Also there is a rumor that facebook (with all it's games, advertising, etc) may start charging users $4 a month in the upcoming months, due to server overloads and the cost to keep up and running. I know if that ever comes true, my 140+ friends said they will leave facebook.

I left myspace due to being hacked a number of times, it is only time for facebook to face the same issues. facebook may also turn out to be a fad (unless some big company starts supplying them with money to improve it, since there are so many using it and apps making connection options). Once facebook goes, what is next.

Also what about LinkedIn. I use Facebook for my personal agenda and LinkedIn for my business groups. just this week alone, I was asked to join 3 other social networking forums I never even heard of. Where does it end, so many to keep up with.

And if facebook is the chosen method, by God update the iphone so that I can play the videos people are posting. I mostly use facebook from my iphone anyway. oh wait, facebook uses flash.

I have about a hundred gig of music that I keep and run off an external FireWire drive and my iTunes works well. I get the occassional beach ball but it seems to be related to dock and undocking my iPhone or syncing my iPhone. If your not a fanatic about your play counts I would recommend rebuilding the library because your performance problems sound exagerrated.

What do people want? Front-facing camera's, Multi-Tasking, decent RAM, merged mail boxes.

What does Jobs give them?

Facebook Integration. Damn Steve, you are the man

Agreed. They should really expand it's ability to play, you know, media. FLAC, avi, DivX, Xvid, etc. The Internet doesn't revolve apple formats, and I'm never going to buy anything from the iTunes store.

I'm at the point now where I just use iTunes for syncing my iPod, hardly even playing music. And definitely not watching films. Boxee is a far, far better program for that. Fast and bloat-free.

The last thing iTunes needs is more lines of code.

They have a hard enough time getting Windows users to use Safari, I think they would face an uphill battle stripping out all the functionality they have added into iTunes and still keep a good size Windows userbase. Remember Windows users are lazy and like everything rolled into one application.

That's how some of these things work: They come and go. Remember Secondlife?

However, I expected Facebook to be flattened out already half a year ago but somehow it remained with a quite stable user increase (according to non-trustworhty sources found on the web).

What will be next? We don't know. Some hype will build up again, users crash into it, the future looks bright, then comes a saturation, complaints become overwhelming, services are not free anymore and that's pretty much the end of the cycle.

If Facebook is integrated into iTunes, well, so be it. As long as it is not mandatory. Everybody should use the functionality that suits best. And if someone thinks, it's a useful feature, the better.

You know, given my last name, you'd think I would've beeen the one to create Facebook...damn you Mark Zuckerberg...sigh...
