I do chuckle by the demonstration of so many here just blindly "buying" into Apples PR strategy.

Only the blind would believe Apple "...Apple could have launched a watch in time for the holiday season." but waited to create the "the best product in the world".

ROFL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Let's be serious here, please... if you believe that you're an idiot. Sorry, truth hurts.

It's simple, they just couldn't get it done in time. So, it'll be next year.

I love how Apple always claims their concern and focus is on product rather than profits. And even more so, how so many here just suck it up as if it's truth.

I am crying with tears of laughter here!!!

I'm pretty sure it's the "alleged" poor battery life that has made this device not available for the holiday season.

It doesn't have a poor battery life. False reports probably started by apple paid leeches.

There have been several reports and videos posted pricing the Moto 360 has no battery life issues.

Obviously if you leave the screen on all the time you'll kill any device.

I also must add, the oddity of all those bashing the Moto 360 here.

In my opinion, the round dial is far more attractive than the strange after dinner mint design seen on the Apple Watch.

But then again, I suspect a lot of people here feel the same way. Which is why it must be bashed, to reduce it to as little relevance as possible.

He failed so bad on the iPhone 6 rear. That's why only 4 million units were pre-ordered over 24 hrs. Everyone in competitors would love to have 10% of this failure.

I really can't decipher your tone. So I'll just clarify and say I don't mind the iPhone 6 rear, but there have been better designs in the past. And it's a new iPhone, people will buy it regardless.

That's what I've been talking about. People didn't have a clue about the watch since they didn't actually see it on a person's wrist.

What are you talking about? The internet is littered with pics/videos of users wearing and interacting with their Moto 360 watch.

You're right, this product will be for people with an imagination.

It'll be for people who want to blow a pile of money on an unnecessary accessory that adds nothing, other than you can view your notifications easier.

I can see who's calling me or sending me a message from across the room. I don't need to look at the screen. My phone has an led notification light. I can assign contacts their own unique colors.

The Moto 360 actually looks pretty terrible in real life (on the wrist) compared to the render:

Is really does, and *that* black gap.

A round watch looks nice with a watch face on it, that's about it. Typography and useful functions become a UI/UX nightmare within a circular shape.

If you actually want a useful device on your wrist, a square form factor really is the only way to go.

You are such a troll. My ***** iPhone 5 don't have good camera even compared to 5S, no Touch ID, no NFC, no co-processor for fitness apps and can't ever use Apple Pay. iPhone 6 is a huge upgrade to iPhone 5. That's why it's sold out everywhere and back ordered until Oct. Continue to troll as much as you want. At least Apple make things useful in every update, not gimmicks like Android devices.
BTW, smartphone is mature now. You won't see much different from one to another upgrade. Just like laptop in the last 10 years.

Two things...(1) Perhaps further schooling is in order for you. Horrible grammatical errors. Yuk, barely understood what you wrote. (2) "Smartphone is mature now." Really? Shows how limited your mind is. Good Day Mate

I am 100% positive you have never seen an iPhone 5.

Great comeback.

How is this cut off in the corners?

Apple has been on a campaign to discredit the Moto 360 because they know it is their biggest competition.

You can see it on here in Macrumors how it immediately turned into bashing the 360 and already they've started again with the flase rumors of the bad battery life, which has already been proven to be a flase rumors. Probably started by apple paid blog posters such as the ones here.

Now, let's see how long it takes for me to get banned for telling the truth.

While not the best UI, there is more innovation in this:

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1977264838/moment-smartwatch-worlds-first-wrap-around-smart-w

than the apple watch. Considering the resources they had, it has impressive ideas.

It looks like a jewellery while "off".
Its upgradable.
It's a watch in a new style.
30 Days battery life.
The discrete way you can control it (underside of your wrist).

Yea, because we all want to hear, "Hey brah, nice bangle." My 11 year old could come up with something better looking than that.

Likewise there's a good reason why Apple Watch photos are usually of a gold version, taken from a flattering angle :)

For instance, seen in a candid shot, the aluminum Sport model looks thick and cheap to me... almost like spray painted silver.

If anyone else had put this out, I think people would be mocking the "Digital Crown", and laughing at the main screen with its plethora of tiny untouchable circles.

People should re-watch the keynote. Huge cheers and standing ovation from some of the Apple employees in the crowd.

What else did you expect them to do? :)

Some of the reporters complained about the fact that Apple had planted hundreds of Apple employees in the front rows to ensure lots of cheering.

Confident people don't have to pull such tricks.

I agree the Sport version looks a bit tacky, like the iPhone 5c. They show plenty pics of the Sport models on the apple website so I'm not sure if I get your point.

They do show direct side views of all the watches and they're not necessarily flattering, but will look less thick on the wrist because of the way the bands are connected (unlike the Moto 360 which has the bands attached at the bottom).

I am not following??? Sooooo, you would rather that they release a product early that does not meet their standards and requirements just so that they can sell it during the holidays? They finally announced that they are indeed working on a watch. It isn't ready for release since it isn't the best product that they can release yet so rather than give you something that's subpar, they are waiting. What's the big deal?

In the end, Apple doesn't want bad PR for selling and providing a product that people are going to hate for whatever reason? That isn't good for business.

Yep. Like on Sunday pikachu or whatever his name is keynote google employees were all at the back...right.

It is well known that Apple was really "Steve's Apple". So if it went to market, Steve said "Yes". Period. Whether or not stuff he came up with was rejected behind the scenes is irrelevant (we don't see those products as customers). But I don't think Steve came up with designs, I believe he came up with requests. The designers designed and submitted samples to him, the Steve would say "no, no, no, yes but.., no, tweak this...", until the device was what he liked

Also, no one said Steve was always right. That is a knee-jerk response. He wasn't always right, but he was rarely wrong with end-item products.

That said, we still have a visible and comparable design shift at Apple upon his departure, and the results are clearly polarizing, whether you fall in the "like" or "don't like" camp. It appears the farther we get from his influence (time wise), the more obvious this becomes.

Apple products were no less polarizing when Steve was a the helm. The iPhone was criticized left, right and center. The decision to ban Flash from iOS met with wave after wave of criticism. Article after article proclaimed the end of Apple.

It paid to write articles trashing Apple then and it still pays do so now. All that's changed is that people have a new tool with which they can legitimize their criticism of Apple-make it look like Steve wouldn't have done things that way.

My observation is how they spin PR. Claiming they could have released something, but wanted to wait and create the greatest product in the world.

Okay... thats all well and good, but the fact that people on this forum believe that! That makes me laugh!

Right. Like I said, it won't be for people who lack an imagination. The iPad had the same problem.

Sure, if we're into living in the past.
Having followed Apple news for so long, I find it interesting to compare past to present. When the iTunes Music Store was introduced, much of its success was due to Apple's deals with the music labels, and credit for those negotiations went to Steve Jobs.

I wondered whether anyone else, including Tim Cook, would have the magic (reality distortion field) or the clout to get a team of major companies (who compete with each other) on board for a new Apple ecosystem, as Jobs did with iTunes. I think Cook provided the answer with the number of collaborators he has already brought on board for Apple Pay.
