Wrong. You can buy a 'real laptop' from whoever you want. You can even hack OS X onto it. Only Apple makes the iWatch, and the iWatch will be unlike anything you can buy elsewhere. It is far more deserving of Apple's focus.

I pity all the people who claim to have read my file. What you don't understand is that this is MR. People here expect posts to have a certain douche factor, and without that your posts won't be well received. Here's the top rated posts on the story before this one-

That's pretty much how this forum goes- there are no thoughtful posts that get recognized. When I'm at Ars, I post under my real name and the tone is very different, but you have to match the culture of the site you are at or you just get super frustrated. It could possible. They've done basically nothing with Siri, even being bested by Google and Microsoft. Maybe they'll surprise us by leapfrogging both of them.
I expect a lot of people will be after the announcements next week.

It'll sell like hotcakes because it's Apple but I don't think it will be as amazing as the iPhone or iPad was.

I'll take a version of Siri that I don't have to connect to the Internet to use.
Not sure why the Internet is needed to play the Macarena from my iTunes library, or for a phone to dial one of my contacts that's on the device.
VoiceCommand did it 10 years ago as an app.
It's possible they will. We'll know in a few days.
And if they do, will I buy one? I never thought so previously. But I'm coming around to the idea Apple will have the answers to all the usability questions nobody else has ever been able to answer.
