They better support Objective-C along with their new Swift language in this iWatch SDK.

If they make the development environment for the iWatch Swift-language only, they are making a big mistake.

I'm not really sure about this, but didn't the first Gen iPhone also have no leaked parts, or the iPad?

The iPad was leaked, but only covered severly in a security body.

Funny thing, the iPhone 4 actually was leaked with it along.

I think that some people think it will be a phone on your wrist. Apart from the medical stuff and third party apps, it will probably be a notification device to alert you about emails, text messages, diary reminders etc. It might have Siri built in but the screen is going to be too small to do much else. That's just my guess though. Apple will probably wow us with something really innovative.

See what I mean though? After the announcement of the iPhone, there were leaks of people using it in public. I think it will be like the iPad 2 and the iPhone 4S, the iPad 2 used in public at an event, and a beta of iOS 4.3 showed camera, FaceTime and photo booth icons. The iPhone 4S was rumoured to be announced with or be called the iPhone 5 with NFC but there were hardly any leaks ( I think). The iPhone 6 like the iPad 2, and the iWatch like the 4S.

Siri is already incredibly useful for hundreds of millions of iOS users.

People are using it for twitter, facebook, making calls, setting alarms, setting timers, reading email/voicemail/messages, sending new email/voicemail/messages, to get directions, checking the weather forecasts, checking stocks, checking sports results, the list goes on and on and on.

I'm not denying it may not be useful for you. But for me, Siri is probably one of the incredible technologies Apple has ever given us.

I wish you could have an option just say siri...to start it...pressing home button sucks.

Do you think it will have GPS?

That is the only thing that concerns me.

I say Apple would be going for as many health sensors as possible, so for running apps then it should have a gps. Fingers x

That sounds like an artificial limitation. You can buy a proper laptop from a lot of companies, but Apple's watch will only be made by Apple.

A proper laptop also runs supported OSX. Only Apple would make those.

The iWatch is not a proper watch.

I could still buy it if I had an iPhone in the same sense that I can also buy an inexpensive non-mechanical watch, but the real deal is for a proper watch brand to add sensors to some of their products.

The iWatch is undoubtedly a trigger for innovation, but not the goal.

So I assume this will be a heavily curated App Store (at least at the beginning)? Perhaps working like CarPlay or the Apple TV does now?

As a developer it's clear to see that apps on the 'iWatch' will just be extensions introduced in iOS 8 on steroids.

Because a quality watch lasts a lifetime. I don't mind spending that much if I don't have to upgrade it every 3 years.

This is a new category, it's no longer a phone.
Any new tech will be obsolete in no time. If you want something for lifetime you came to wrong site. iWatch could be a fashion item - but there is no point to make it super expensive. There was one guy who put a lot of diamonds in his phone (in before iPhone times) so he was wearing this phone for many years but used his bodyguard's phone when he needed to make a call. Almost nobody need super expensive iWatch - and it will be companies which will convert iWatch to super expensive items for ones who want it.

An iWatch-only App Store? It doesn’t make sense to me. Installing an app on the iPhone should automatically display a new widget/app/watch face on the iWatch, not differently from Notification Center widgets in iOS 8.

My guess is it will be an extension of the existing App Store. As we have iPad, iPhone or Universal apps, we will have iWatch apps.

poor abandoned apple tv. all you r getting is less glossy icons

My view with Apple TV is on the fence til the next round of FCC regs concerning net neutrality.

Why would I want say.... Photoshop or iMovie in my iWatch?

Actually having an iWatch as a display for for Photoshop pallets controls is not a bad idea. Then for iMovie, could be fun to show previews on it.

Question is not if bit how many Dick Tracy watch apps will show up?

How long will it take for Tribune-Media Services to throw these apps off the store claiming copyright infringement?

Then how long will it take for Tribune-Media Services to launch an "official" Dick Tracy app that will not be as good as the first ones?

Then there are the inevitable Captain Midnight decoder ring iWatch apps.

What the HELL is this watch gonna look like ? 48 hour count down .

Wrong. You can buy a 'real laptop' from whoever you want. You can even hack OS X onto it. Only Apple makes the iWatch, and the iWatch will be unlike anything you can buy elsewhere. It is far more deserving of Apple's focus.

Not to mention that Tim Cook's Apple is much better at focusing on multiple things at once, so great laptops are still being made.
