I have my iphone updated to 5.13.01 baseband.. Gonna take it in and try to get a refurbished one.. My reason for a new phone is dirt under the screen. They shield just give me a new one. Then i can unlock it and sell on eBay for 600 bucks.
How will you unlock it ? Currently no unlock for 3.1.3 firmware (5.12.xx baseband)

They didn't even give me a refurbed one. The just replaced the display unit. She gave me a brand new piece of glass. Haha. I guess I'm stuck on 5.13.01..
can i upgrade to iphone os 4.0 beta 3 from iphone os 3.1.3 new bootrom. And if i upgrade will there be an unlock for bootrom 5.13.01 or the unlock would be released for 5.12.01 in June most probably.

You don't need 4.0 (its still BETA!!! ffs), but if you are a developer i hope i am never unfortunate enough to load one of your apps onto my phone... for fear of explosion.

You also don't take part in comprehensible dialogue with other users and seem to ask the same questions again and again.
You have ample knowledge of reliable dev team sources and are certainly not a 'newb', so i am constantly aghast at your unwillingness to take on the facts that are scattered all over this forum(especially this thread).

i just bought a new iphone 16gig 3gs from the store a total of 28 hours ago... i could not wait until the new one came out because i broke my old one trying to replace the digitizer .. yeah i know im a **** nut...... I don't care how i jail break the damn thing i just want it done.. i have enough car chargers charge only cables and a lap top to be able to never have it go dead and i never turn the thing off ( god forbid i get a text or call while it is off).. now could someone point me ( a link to the site would be best) to the site to jail break my phone i dont need it unlocked i just want to do cool **** with my phone.. i have read these forums up and down and i may have missed it but please i need help..

search on google to download spirit jailbreak and download the jailbreak tool.Just run the exe and its done your iphone would be jailbroken in 1 or 2 minutes

Don't upgrade to OS4 just yet, it's not in Release stage yet, so there's really no point in upgrading to that, plus you will get a lot of error with Apps and bugs.
3.1.3 is untethered now, and very reliable, this site offers a step by step tutorial and a jailbreak bulletin board for questions.

I have a quick question. I have an iPhone 3G running 3.1.3 and will be upgrading to iPhone 4 soon. Does my 3G still need to be officially activated to do the Spirit JB? Or, can I switch to the iPhone 4 first, activate it, then run Spirit on my old (deactivated) 3G?

you have to activate your 3g first in order to jailbreak i had the same problem on my 3gs when i restored then i bought an ATT sim to activate
ok now if i do thi can i stil sync it to itunes and dl all my music? and pictures i le a friend use my lap top with all my stuff on it also i have i tunes on the computer im using but no music is on it im just wanting to know so i dont brick my phone

you know how to put your phone into DFU mode, or recovery mode. And don't install any stupid things from cydia. Research what you want to install first and see if it's caused problems with people. God this thread is getting OOOOOOOOLLDDD!!!

You can still sync your JB's iPhone with iTunes and make sure that your iPhone is already installed w/ AppSync 3.1 from repo hackulous...
