WOOHOO! Well, after freaking out last night because I saw "Shipped" in my order status page. I realized it was for the Apple SuperDrive. Just checked this morning and my iMac's status has updated to "Shipped". I checked the FedEx tracking and it says it was handed over at 2:58pm Shanghai time which is 1:58am my time, Eastern Standard. Though I must say I'm a bit disappointed that the FedEx page shows a delivery date of Wednesay, February 6th. Which if that's the case, then I don't believe I received "complimentary Express Shipping", because if that was the case I would receive it on Monday. As another person on the forum had theirs ship on a Friday, and it was delivered the following Monday. But who knows, the delivery date may change. But really, I don't care, Express Shipping or not, it's on it's way, and I'm freaking STOKED!
Also, to all the people (if you're still watching this thread), did anyone have theirs held at the FedEx facility before going out for delivery? I'm thinking of doing that, so I can go pick it up at 9:00am, rather than waiting until 12:00pm noon, or later if there's a delay. Though FedEx always comes by at least 12:30pm, because the driver finished this route at 3:00pm. I just remember hearing somewhere that Apple requires at least one delivery attempt before it can be held at the operating facility for pick up. I don't know if that's true or not, as I'm very familiar with FedEx, and usually if the "Hold At Operating Facility" option isn't available, it won't give you the option to select it. But on my FedEx tracking page it does.

My "Processing" status lasted for exactly one day before the three week mark. I ordered on January 10th, and it went to Preparing For Shipment on January 30th at 10:45am, and it was shipped on January 31st at 1:58am. But, the good news is, every day they are getting more and more orders out compared to less and less orders coming in. So they are getting more caught up, and the Processing times aren't, and won't be as bad. I estimate that sometime in March or April, ship times will go down to 7-10 days, or maybe less.
You can't hold it at the facility. I tried to do this today as my package made it to my local facility at 8:00 am, but didn't make it on a truck. I called and asked if they could hold it and they said it's required by Apple for them to make one delivery attempt. They are not authorized to hold it per Apple's wishes.
Just saw the "International shipment release - Import" on FedEx tracking...
There is a FedEx 28 plane that left 2 hrs ago for Anchorage...don't know if it's on that flight...
Or now I see there's a FedEx 90 about to leave Shanghai direct to Memphis soon...

Order January 12
Expected Deliver Feb 11-19
Ohio
Just got tracking number, expected delivery Feb 6th.
I ordered the same setup on Jan. 19th. Maybe my wait is only another week for shipment....My 32 GB crucial ram is already waiting...
I still need to order my RAM, I'm sure I can live without it for a week or so.
I'm going on the assumption that if I order the RAM now, it's just going to be sitting on an empty desk, openly mocking me.
Has Arrived!!!!! I can't wait to get home at lunch to start setting it up.![]()
What day did yours ship?
Hey. I must ask. Where is everyone seeing these FedEx flights and such? Is it showing up in the tracking window or must I head to another website? If I need to go to another website, please give me the website. It would be interesting to see this information.
By the way, how is everyone else's order being shipping? I was told that I was receiving complimentary Express Shipping, and that everyone else was too, in order to get the orders to the customers as fast as possible. BUT, mine has shipped today, Jan. 31st, at 1:58am my time (EST), which is 2:58pm in Shanghai. It says it was picked up after the FedEx cutoff time, which I'm assuming means it will head out tomorrow. But even if, someone else on this forum, PhillyAnt's order shipped on a Friday, which I believe was last Friday, and his iMac was delivered on Monday. Which means the total shipping transit time was 2-3 days, or over the weekend. So mine will ship out tomorrow on the plane Im assuming, but the FedEx tracking is giving me an estimated delivery date of Wednesday, Feb. 6th. Also, at the bottom of the page in the statistics area, it says "Service: International Economy Distribution". I don't think that's express shipping. Not that I REALLY care, as I originally selected Standard Shipping, and I'll still receive my iMac before the estimated delivery dates of Feb. 7th - 14th (by a whopping one day, lol). But I'm just curious, what service did everyone else receive?
Look on Flight Aware for the FedEx flights out of Shanghai. There is pretty much a daily FedEx 90 that goes back and forth b/t Shanghai and Memphis and other flights to Anchorage.
If mine is on the FedEx 90 direct to Memphis, theoretically it gets there by midnight, but don't know if the iMac will hop on a flight to JFK overnight and be a able to deliver tomorrow. Otherwise, I'm waiting until Monday morning as scheduled.
Mine says "In transit" currently... I'm just assuming it might be on the flight.
January 27th - just changed to Preparing for Shipment. The webpage still shows the original estimated delivery date of February 6th - 13th. I don't have access to any email updates because this is a work computer ordered by our office admin, but I'm hopeful for this week now....
Oh... shipping to Boise, Idaho, too

I ordered on January 9th a stock entry level iMac. I did swap out the wireless keyboard for the USB keyboard (got to have my 10-key). Still processing, estimated delivery date of February 6 - 13 via standard shipping. Here's the details:

I hope to get lucky and see it a bit early. This will be my new office computer, so I can retire my Windows 7 PC and start leaving my MacBook Pro at home.
Load it up with my web dev software, Parallels and Windows 7 and 8 for testing. Can't wait!
