I've seen multiple people state on here that everyone with 27" orders were given complimentary Express Shipping, but when I called the other night (Saturday), I was only offered a discount on shipping... So now, instead of $30, shipping is $15. I'm not complaining, as I think that's a pretty good deal for shipping a computer in 2-3 days from China to New York. It's just weird that people keep saying their shipping is free as I was never offered that. Oh well, I'm just glad my device finally shipped!

I really do feel for everyone who has waited 3 weeks + for their orders to reach beyond "preparing". But hang in there, you KNOW it will be well worth it.
This morning, just after 1am my order went into Preparing", then approx. 12 hours later it changed to "shipped". Unfortunately, my order missed fedex's cutoff time so instead of arriving Saturday, it will arrive Monday. Either way, it's going to arrive just a couple days before the original estimated delivery date.

Reality. I don't need it. I do nothing GPU intensive.
I considered it for resale ease as I only intend to keep it 2 years or so before replacing.
I did after a week want to change my mind but by that point the old mac had died and couldn't wait any longer as changing the GPU would have meant a bump to the back of the queue
I use the CPU intensively. Never play a game
More money to spend on my outrageous SSD RAID plans

I ordered an i7 3TB fusion and 680mx from Powermax on the 22nd. No updates as of yet.
My dad ordered a base 27" with no options from Powermax on January 25 and it already shipped and will be in IL on February 1st.

Well. Right now it's 8:55am in Shanghai. So I believe there is still plenty of time for our iMacs to be shipped.
Looking at the spreadsheet, it appears there is one person who ordered on Jan 13th and his is preparing. Getting closer to my date , Jan 15th. But i assume it will be early next week when mine goes into preparing to ship mode. Keep updating that spreadsheet guys. We need to keep it current. Thanks.
I could have sworn somebody commented in this thread that their January 15th order went to preparing for shipment. I think it happened just before mine or just after mine did. Because I remember thinking "holy crap, how in the hell!"

Ordered 1/3 Prepared to ship 1/24; Shipped 1/25 ; scheduled delivery date 1/31; came one day early. The Fedex guy came by my house and bareley knocked; missed hime, then missed him again as he came by 5 minutes after leaving for the store. I just went to pick it up myself after that.

Finally Received iMac!
My 27" iMac arrived this morning at 10:30am CST, after being ordered on January 4th. The machine is perfect. No fan issues, it's completely quiet ... even when pushing it to the max. The screen has a normal amount of backlight bleed, much less than any of the previous iMacs I've owned. No dead pixels. I couldn't be happier.
Good luck to those who are still waiting ... it's well worth the wait.
