January 27" iMac Orders! (Those ordered in January)

It has arrived :D first thing my wife said was how silent it is, the screen is amazing and it's so snappy compared to my 2009 MBP. Couldn't be happier!

Hope everyone gets theirs soon

Just spoke to Apple again. Much more helpful than last time. She has reached out to Order support team about my iMac and expects a response within 24 hours.

She's given me her email address to I can speak to the same person rather than go through multiple people. She has sent me links to getting the most out of my mac etc. Very helpful! Waiting for the email within the next 24 hours regarding my order now.

It's nice to be able to speak to the same person about a problem and very kind of her to give me her details.

I'm going to call them again this weekend. If they still can't help reharding the order, they may just be able to throw in a free SuperDrive or maybe some free AppleCare.

I don't mind waiting 6-8 weeks for a new computer. But I do mind people getting their iMacs before me when they ordered days, if not weeks after me.

Did you say people were getting theirs before yours at all? Or was that all just because yours is late?

i7 680mx 3tb fusion.

I called this morning and got no help at all. When I ordered it said 3-4 weeks. Now it says 4-6 and they claim it has always said this. They really offered no help and finally said, "I would expect that it will come down to the last minute of those 6 weeks.

If its not here next week, I have to call and tell them to not send it because I'm leaving for 2 weeks and won't be here to receive it.

What were your delivery dates before it changed to 4-6 weeks?
 
Mine went from preparing to shipped this morning. Coming from Sacramento, CA to SoCal and it'll arrive tomorrow according to FedEx.

It stayed processing until the day before the first estimated delivery date. Stayed at preparing for one day then went shipped.

2GB Cards?

Hi Guys, I just wanted to chime with some info I got from my Reseller. My 27-Inch iMac order was placed on January 22nd with a reseller in Alberta, Canada. I emailed for an update yesterday and they have informed me that they believe the delays are with the new 2GB GTX 680MX cards. They also informed me that their purchaser is will escalate the issue with Apple. Perhaps those of you who ordered through a reseller can contact them to do the same. Crossing my fingers for an arrival soon!
 
FedEx just delivered mine to my house. The problem is I am still at work for another three hours. I think I might have to try and leave early today because I'm suddenly starting to feel sick. :D

I've just received this response:

"I received a response from Order Support stating that your iMac is currently in production, and it will ship once it is built. I will continue to monitor your order, and once it ships, I will gladly provide tracking updates. So far I have been advised your order is still on schedule and estimated to deliver on or before 27/02. I hope this information was helpful. Please do not hesitate to contact me directly with any further queries, and I will be happy to help.
My hours are 12 PM to 9 PM GMT Monday - Friday."
 
typing this from my brand new IMac 27 ordered 31 Jan.
First mac i ever owned getting lost from time to time but i'm sure i'll figure it out some day :)

I'm in Edmonton as well, and also ordered from WestWorld. Here's hoping that both of our Machines come in on Monday!

Just got home and unboxed it. Restoring now from my time capsule backup but everything looks good so far. Checked the side of my box and it does say Assembled in USA! Has anyone else gotten one that way too?

Does it also say Assembled in US on the aluminum? Just curious. I think it is great some manufacturing is moving back to the US. Thanks for the update. I hope your machine rocks and there aren't any problems!

Unless I'm missing it I don't see any writing on the back of the computer.

I thought the words in the picture on the pages below were somewhere on the aluminum. After a closer look maybe not or maybe it's on the internals. But from the iFixit article I thought it was external. It is a 21 inch pictured, if that makes a difference.
