I'd love to see an Apple Tablet, completely redesigned UI for iPhone OS 4.0, iLife '10 with a new UI for all apps, iPod touch with camera, iWork '10 and new MacBook Pro's with new processors. Probably not going to happen though...

Mobile OS 4.0

The OS needs to be re-badged as either mobile or tablet once this point is passed because it no longer will simply be an OS for the iPhone...
The OS will run the iPhone, iPod Touch and the MacSlate iGuide :D

Apple's keynote and the State of the Union are on the same day.

Not exactly ideal.

Sure it is.

Steve will be giving his "SLATE OF THE UNION" address in the morning, and BHO the STATE of the union in the evening.

I'm confused. If this rumor is correct and iPhone 4.0 is going to be announced, does that mean 4.0 will be released right at the announcement like it was 3.2 or will it be like the March events where it's released to developers at the even and the general public has to wait until summer? I would love to have 4.0 now and have something like 4.5 or 5.0 released in the summer.

Os 4.0: Please!

OS 4.0: please, please give me individual swipe to delete on the call list!

1) Will come with free Mobile Me subscription.
2) iPhoto + iMovie = iMedia
3) Will all be available as iPhone/iTouch apps

I don't like the idea of Free Mobile Me subscriptions. But I personally hope this is wrong I want to see a new iPhone and I don't want just a preview of 4.0 OS I would like it to be released soon!

Yes it does. iDVD needs to be completely revamped for iTunes Extras and LPs (and given a new name).

iDVD should start burning DL DVD properly without the annoying multiplex error. iMovie should start saving your work properly as well (why not a SAVE button instead of automatically saving (that doesn't work)??). I used both app in december and I had MANY problems.. like losing all the text edited, transitions etc, and then having problems to burn the DVD... blah!

I want an Arrandale MBP 15"! Any thoughts on that? :p
For a similar price to a 15" MBP you could probably get an iMac and a iSlate.

The iSlate should be lighter, more portable and have a better battery life than the MBP. The iMac has a bigger screen and is more powerful than a MBP.

Of course, which is better (a MBP or a iMac+iSlate) depends on what you intend to do with them. There is no right answer.

I just wanna know what they've done with OS 4.0 so i can determine whether i'm staying with the platform or not. The rest i couldn't care less about...even the tablet (it would have to be amazingly superb for me to even bat an eye)

4.0 indeed

Per my posting weeks ago, iPhone OS 4.0 will be coming. Apple is playing catch-up with the Pre and Google offerings.

No I think he means 64-Bit in iTunes, iLife, and iWork

It seems like it is time for iLife and iWork to become 64-bit because Snow Leopard was released. However, if they make it 64-bit, they would have to end Leopard support or make two versions

64-bit iTunes please

I don't see that happening with the iLife '10 suite. Sometime in September when iTunes 10/X is released.

it'll be iLife X along with Aperture X!

At least I hope Aperture gets refreshed--it's overdue.

splotches of color...

I think the new iLife is going to come with a graphics program. Got that from the paint splatter on the invite. :D

My bet is that Apple is as sick of the endless knockoffs as I am. Just about every device, every smart phone, now "looks" like the iPhone. My bet is they shift gears and offer colors again like the iMacs... and once the George Forman grills start appearing in "mac" colors, they then shift back again to black/silver/white. I also think there will be some more products, like a new version of the iPhone, an iLife/iWork refresh... and HOPEFULLY an Aperture update.

Can't wait to read all the posts on the 28th how the device is a failure and will never catch on (like the iPod, iPhone, the Air...). I just hope it isn't just for the ATT folks here in the states. Expanding to other carriers would be good news, wifi enabled would be even better...
