Jet Black iPhone 7 Plus Pre-Orders Shipping Sooner Than Expected

Ordered from Ontario, Canada.
Still no shift in delivery date.

I gave my wife my iPhone SE and took her iPhone 5 to use in the meantime, hoping the date would improve. Much regret.

I was on the fence for the longest time but then i told myself i can't risk it. So I went with the matte black so glad that i did because after watching the video and selling CAR KEYS in the pockets is scratching the phone. I was super happy with my choice.
 
I was setting up my Jet black 7+ last night and the back of the phone above the sleep/wake button (where the A10 chip is) got extremely hot to the touch and if you put the phone next to your ear you can hear what sounds like static... some people are calling it a hissing noise but it think it sounds closer to static than hissing.

the only time I've noticed it was when my phone was being restored from the backup and was downloading over 150 apps... i wonder if it has any negative affect on the phone?

I love the Jet Black on my iPhone 7. I tried using it without a case because of the new $29 AppleCare+ screen replacement option. But the biggest problem is that it slides out of my pockets too easily without a case. I'm really good at not dropping my phone or setting it down where it would get scratched. But I did some testing and it just seems like it falls out too easy in the car, or in an office chair, or most places I sit. Seems like I could lose it or really mess it up. I don't wear skinny jeans so maybe that's why it slides so easily.

The last time I went caseless was when I first got the 6 Plus because my Apple leather case was late. That phone was big enough that it would wedge in my pockets better, and I even shot an SEC college football game with it in my pocket—which involves a lot of running back and forth across the length of the field, crouching down, and jumping out of the way of players. But I don't care for the Plus form factor. And it's really a shame, because the Jet Black is absolutely gorgeous. I might risk going caseless when I go to formal events—it is practically a piece of jewelry—but for everyday use I found this really simple textured case on Amazon that works great: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01JTI1M1Y/

Seeing all the Apple orders going out with ship dates later than mine makes me loose hope of my 9/28 delivery date. Makes sense Apple is sending out their orders first but what about the carriers Verizon is a huge reseller of Apple products so I hope they start sending some units or lots more I should say their way soon!

I have to take it back. Mine has shipped for delivery on the Sep 26th.

Apple is shipping the phones but UPS is apparently way backed up. Mine shipped Sunday with today, the 20th, as the delivery day. This morning it is still in ZhengZhou China.
