Interesting, since I keep checking the iStockNow website, and have yet to see a Jet Black of any kind show up in an Apple Store's inventory.

I'm almost tempted to cancel my Jet Black order and just order one in regular Black (I was on the fence about which color to pick, anyway) since Apple is showing 2-3 weeks shipping for it (as opposed to the 4-6 week estimate for my current order) - but I keep holding out in the hopes that I catch a break and my phone ships early...

I was going to do the same, but now that, even the one I was going to get is on back order till nov 16th a week before my ship date, I chose to just wait

As it should be, I realize in years past they have shipped store inventory but they really should ship out to pre-order customers first before filling the store orders.

I would guess that you will see your Jet black before 2-3 weeks based on what has been happening here.
Everything considered, it's not a bad ship date, as long as it does ship at that time. I've been tracking mine and was worried that it wouldn't leave and just the label was created, but it's now en route to Knoxville, TN from its stop last night in Hagerstown, MD. I should have it tomorrow! I don't like the white faced phones (just a personal preference) so my only options were JB and MB. I'm glad I didn't go with JB. It's like owing a black car: looks shiny and pretty at first, but with very little use, you start to see all the dirt, scratches, and dents! Here's hoping yours leaves out a few days earlier like mine did!!!! 😀

Mine is forbidden oct 4-10 but still what is taking so long go get our orders? What is the point of preordering?

My estimated delivery date is Oct 5th-12 and its still "Processing".Apple support said wait till 5th october before you call us regarding this.No choice just wait.
Dude I feel your pain and everyone else's who is waiting for this iPhone. I went through this pain before for the 6 plus. Allow me to describe our pain: this is like passing a huge kidney stone at which your doctor tells you that you will pass this stone in 2-3 weeks then while 2 weeks later at the hospital you keep calling your nurse (apple specialist) and complain telling her: Oh my God nurse when will this damn stone pass it's been two weeks!Then your nurse tells you in a patronizing tone : Oh I know sweetie it hurts it should pass any day now! I'm happy you are part of this hospital family! Then you are like: Damn nurse Billy over there was only here for three days and he passed his stone allready! I've been here for two weeks what gives? Then your nurse says again in a patronizing tone: Oh I can understand that you want to pass that stone and get in with your life but some people here like Billy is luckier than others. You will just have to wait ok? Does this sound like what you all go though with Apple and your pre orders?

I order also a Verizon JB 7+ 256 and quotes same date 9/28 for delivery.

This is stupid I ordered mine minutes as well from pre order date and got oct 4-10 no email yet and others are getting it sooner I don't know how this is working but honestly I just wanna cancel my order by now might look like a soon early date but since the 9th and it's 21st now I should of at least gotten an email on my order about shipment
