Jet Black iPhone 7 Plus Pre-Orders Shipping Sooner Than Expected

hey we live in the same city lol. I'd also like to know what time of day they are changing
So there are Apple Stores that don't have the Jet Black available on display, even! Not in store, not on display (only in their graphics panels). And I Called a couple sprint stores in my area - was told by all that they won't be getting any JB's int until probably November.
So my thinking is with pre-ordering, though it feels like it takes (iPhone) forever, we will still (hopefully) get the phones before they get to the stores.
But I could be wrong.

The Titanic? Lol! No not quiet my friend! I just left the Apple Store as there was a huge line of people since they just got in a ton of iPhone 7 Pluses. I tried to see if maybe just maybe they might have a jet black iPhone 7 plus. The employee I spoke to quickly shot me down and asked if I was aware if the Jet Black plus or 7 was sold out around the world and that practically anything Jet Black will be for anyone who pre- ordered only. I told him that I did in fact preorder a jb 7+ at 3:04 am for oct-4-10. He said wow you are blessed! He said that in reality anyone who pre orders will be the first to actually have it!
yep, 10/4 - 10/10 from Apple and 10/14-10/21 from AT&T for Black 7 Plus 128Gb. I got a text from AT&T y'day that said my phone had shipped! Then I found out today that the text was sent our erroneously...sorry!
So pissed.
Guess I'll keep whichever company gets my phone to me first.
I'm starting to believe that with all the negative press Apple has been receiving about the Jet Black phones scratching so easily that they have put production on hold and are attempting to "fix" them in some way.
There just hasn't been any movement on them, regardless of carrier. Meanwhile a literal ton of matte blacks have been shipped and are in the hands of customers.
I, like many of you, am running out of patience on this nonsense. Perhaps I will have to give up on getting the JB and just switch over to matte.

Ordered mines preorder launch day @6 am, from verizon. Shipping date still shows Oct. 12.
Many customers who pre-ordered a Jet Black iPhone 7 Plus received shipping estimates ranging into October and November, but it appears Apple is working hard to overcome supply constraints and get shipments out earlier than expected.
Starting this morning, MacRumors began hearing reports from customers who originally had deliveries scheduled for a month or two out but will now be receiving their devices over the course of the next few days.
MacRumors reader Daniel was told to expect his Jet Black iPhone 7 Plus in November, but will be receiving it tomorrow, while another customer had a delivery scheduled for October 4 to 10, but will instead receive his iPhone on Wednesday. There are also multiple reports on Twitter from customers who have had similar good news, including some improved delivery estimates from carriers.
The new Jet Black iPhone offers both a unique mirror-like finish and a new deep black color, which has made it one of the most popular choices with customers. It uses a different anodization process than the other iPhones to achieve the shine, perhaps explaining why it is in shorter supply.
Reports of improved shipping estimates are encouraging for customers who are expecting to wait until November to receive a new iPhone. When pre-orders for the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus took place on September 9, shipping estimates for Jet Black iPhone 7 Plus models slipped to weeks and then months within a matter of minutes, leaving customers who wanted the new color waiting. If Apple can continue ramping up supply, orders may be going out much earlier. Orders placed today on Apple's website for the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus continue to have November delivery estimates.
For those who have ordered a Jet Black iPhone or plan to, Apple warns that the device is prone to significant scratching because of its finish, something that has indeed been seen in early reviews and in the wild already.

Not completely true. BC mines still shows Oct.12 jet black 256 gig from Verizon.
Yup I preordered my T-Mobile Jet Black 128 gig 7 Plus precisely 3:04 am 9/9/16 and yup you guessed it! I'm still on iPhone 6 Plus land. Lol!
Heck no! Why do that?! If we waited this long and kept awake all night for pre- order night, we should all get our unicorn iPhones! Just wait a little longer that Jet Black beauty will be in your hands collecting your finger prints before you know it!

Yea something definitely must wrong if we don't see more movement by tomorrow it's been to quiet around here wtf. 
Let's put it this way not even the apple employees at my local Apple Store told me that they themselves never even seen the Jet Black Plus now or even on launch day. This jb plus really is a Unicorn.
That's what happened with me. I had a 10/5 delivery for JB and just gave up. I reserved a matte black with the same specs and picked it up yesterday afternoon. The matte black looks a lot better than I thought it would, having now seen one in person. So stealthy. I don't regret cancelling my JB at all now.

Sorry to hear that you're having the same issue. Yeah, my UPS tracking is still stalled out, showing the latest status location of Korea. There hasn't been an update to that for a couple of days now.
I'm sure our phones are on a plane, a ship, or most likely a RAFT getting over here. Ha! Hopefully we'll get a UPS update soon.

I chatted with someone at Apple and she assured me it would be delivered tomorrow. I do hope its already on the way, otherwise Korea to Texas is a long way in 1 day ha

At least you are it that point! Since I preordered this thing on preorder day at 3:04 eastern time, I'm still only on Processing Items. I hate the word "Processing" now lol!
