I'm thinking that the way people are perceiving this is more indicative of what goes on between their ears than what is going on between Jimmy Io's ears. The way I read it is, "picture a woman in this situation", and he describes the first 10-15 minutes of your basic romantic comedy. The way the SJW's are reading it is "Honey go fix me a drink and get back to your knitting."

Maybe the guy should speak his mind and do his job to the best of his ability, and only worry about it if he suddenly drops an F bomb against his will. If I were in his position I wouldn't apologize. I definitely wouldn't explain myself. I'd simply say "grow up".

Well, that's certainly an option.

But I wouldn't respond at all. I'd chalk it up to experience, try to learn a little from it, and move on.

OMFG. Get over. Way too hypersensitive Society we live in is a joke.

Indeed. You americans and your liberalism + political/social correctness. I expect that in 10 years time you will ban 'Married with Children' show from TV. Actually, u guys had great shows. But decided to kill them since they aren't politically correct :D

And the worst part is that this idiocracy is spreading like a disease to other nations as well :(

You forgot the /s tag.

Seriously? Give me a break. He was just citing a situation. He could have used 'boys' and would there be outrage?

Would you have the same response and reaction? NO.

Men don't usually like to be referred to as boys.

I think that would make him a poor spokesboy if he did that.

My point is, it's hypocritical. If you used the equivalent term for the opposite gender, there would be ZERO comments about it from the same people complaining now. That's hypocrisy.

Where did Io say your daughter would be worse at finding music?

Quote: "women find it very difficult at times -- some women -- to find music, …and [Apple Music] helps makes it easier with playlists curated by real people."

Cut down to the point: "women find it very difficult at times to find music"

QUESTION:

Who is he comparing women to?

In my mind, I assume men. Maybe I'm wrong! Are you assuming he is saying women are worse at it than some other group? Robots? Italians? Elephants?

You're right. I did jump to the conclusion that he meant "women as compared to men."

So tell me your take.

Who is he comparing women to?

No, not just women. There are men yelling about it just as much. If he said 'boys' though, they'd be dead silent. Hypocrites.

not all men are men these days either and you really have to watch your back for that as well... too much hyper-sensitivity about too many things in this world mostly limited to the us i have noticed after traveling the world over. some of the things i have seen and heard around the world in terms of this sort of thing would make the people digging into this wet their pants and no one really cares elsewhere.

Who cares? He's half fried as it is. Did you listen to him at the Apple keynote introducing Apple music?

LMAO. Or women 'women'. Great observations.

Iovine looks better with a hat. His head's too misshapen for him to look cool walking around bald.
What does this have to do with the subject of this thread? What's the relevance? Where do people come up with this crap? And from someone who models himself after Woody Allen's imbecilic character from "Bananas".

People need to chill out. Everyone is darn sensitive. South Park nails it with PC Principal - this really is getting ridiculous.

Oh, the horror!

In other news, people are getting blown up in France.

Come on, people! Let's keep things like this in perspective. He is just a music guy. Just ignore him if you are offended.

Nobody ignores anything these days. And social media makes for the perfect environment to vent over every little peeve that irritates us ... just as you're venting right now about this little peeve.

If YOU can't ignore it, why would you ask others to do what you are incapable of doing yourself?

Kind of funny for what things you said you can get a ********* nowadays.

Clearly what he said wasn't mean spirited so why treat him like he is borderline sexist?

I need to start a my own website politicallycorrect.com. And I will open the forum for everyone.

I seriously dare you to go into any video game forum and post that "boys sometimes have trouble with [insert any technology here]."

You think that would go well?
The vast majority of people would scratch their heads and move on. Maybe ask for clarification. But not instantly get "offended".

I have no problem with the fact that women are naturally better at some things than men are... like multitasking, for example. I don't ever have a problem with any woman telling me that they think men are bad at something and women are better. I might even agree! At worst, I'll shrug my shoulders. Why should I let someone else's opinion have power over me?
