I was wrong. Apple updated the 13" model with the magic keyboard..

Anyway, my 2018 Mbp is still great and has 2,7Ghz i7 CPU, which none of the new configurations is offering. Somehow I thing that my MBP is better (apart from the keyboard)..
The 10th generation CPUs are faster for a given clock speed, so it's unlikely the 2018 would be faster than the top end i7 2020 model. Regardless, I don't think I'll be replacing my 2.3 i5 2018 model with this round.

There's never been any proof that scissor switch keys are "more reliable" than butterfly switch.

Say that to my sticky A keys and spacebar on my 2018 MBP :p
Even I cared and almost babied during usage, problem still arise on membrane shielded butterfly switch.

It's not better though. The 10th Gen chips will be far more efficient and powerful at the lower clock speed.

The 10th gen Iris Pro graphics will also crush your 2018 models graphics.

Your keyboard is also atrocious and prone to failure.

But other than that your machine is alright.

Wow the two lower models still have *8th* gen processors. Couple that with being forced to use the lame touch bar and giant bezels (compare to XPS 13), and this is not as good as I expected.

I am not saying that it will be faster, but the difference (if any) will be small. The higher clock speed of the 2018 model will make it better for single thread tasks, but at the cost of efficiency.

The new 14-inch MacBook Pro is also expected to feature soldered RAM and soldered SSD what makes any fix or upgrade impossible. Hell yeah!!!
We only have one planet - waste it with useless hardware! Don't fix, just throw away!! This is the way to go... </irony>

Amen. Minimalist design expertise that excites the Marketing group? Apple has it in droves. Robust design expertise that excites the consumer looking for long-term value? Apple has yet to pull that rabbit out.

Even at a lower clock speed and at single core tasks, the 10th gen may still be faster. The advantage could even tip further toward the new chip if the new CPU can stay cooler.

The thing is that for most of us owners of a modern MBP there are few reasons to get the new model. Only if somebody really hates the keyboard then it would make sense...

Hope Apple are working around the clock to find the source of these leaks. Can’t wait to see who gets fired and dragged to court!

Are customized purchases such as ram, storage, processor bumps eligible for refunds?
