You are crazy to think that this won't happen. A lot of people already have things inside their bodies (heart protectors etc.). Musk introduced a new way how we will evolve (people after spinal injuries might be able to walk again etc. thanks to implants in the brain etc.)

This will be the future and anyone thinking otherwise is just naive. These will be devices that will allows us to live better, longer and healthier. Most diseases will be prevented or at least caught early etc. THIS IS HAPPENING!

Lol, can't believe you could be so naive and think otherwise.

What a complete blowhard. If he thinks people are going to willingly embed **** in their bodies he's ****ing insane

The scary part is there are tons of people (arguably even more blowhard than him) who would line up and pay top dollar for it.

Jony is (financially) successful because he is smart and capable, I have a hard time arguing with that, but his designs for professional-grade computing equipment are not very good. In fact, they're terrible.
This

Ive is a flat out horrible designer, putting form above all else & rarely, if ever, thinking about function. It's why we got laptops/phones etc that are so asininely thin, commonly used ports removed for no reason other than "courage", designs like mouse with the charger on the bottom of the device, the original Apple Stylus charging in via the iPad, the universally despised Butterfly Keyboard and more.

Yeah you're right about the medical devices. But imagine what else they can do. Isn't that worrying a little bit? And I'm pretty sure that Covid will accelerate the development of these devices rapidly. All the stuff that I know about is actually very scary, but so many people will love it and gladly put it in their bodies, until they'll became mandatory. I've read about a patent that describes something like an "electric certificate" which could easily tell any authority that you've been vaccinated for example. And that's without any sort of tests, blood samples or anything like that. I don't know about you but I find this very very scary.

I do see your point but I believe this is a multi-generational thing. What I mean is this will become more normal as the generations become accustomed to it and it becomes part of the new normal. It will take decades for it to seem perfectly normal like taking a headache pill. For you and I, we'll probably never get to experience this so I wouldn't worry too much. ;)

"some of his memories of his most productive times with Jobs were when the two were just walking together and thinking close to one another"
"the most powerful ideas occur quietly, and they are fragile" he said.
?

Between the bright, white image and clothing (purity, simple, eloquent, clean...), give him an award already. And more praise. Followed by another award. and more praise...

Seems like people would like to define him by has last piece of work that they didn't like rather than 20+ years of wonderful designs that this man and his team was able to put out in to the world. Just like art there are still going to be pieces that you don't enjoy but you should really look like at the body of work.

Apple and Ive made a bet on touchbar & USB-C being the future, it didn't pan out. They got over it and gave us new laptops. It's almost as if they made a mistake and fixed it...

"I can't think of anything more personal, more specific, more individual, and more intimate than things being inside us."

I can't think of anything more intrusive, more creepy, more big brother, more loss of privacy and person than things being inside us.

But at least it'll be thin and light.
People with glucose sensors seem ok with electronics being under the skin.

IMO, you're talking about two completely different use-cases though. People have always allowed implanting things in their bodies for health reasons.... a replacement knee or hip, for example, or pins put in bones so a fracture will heal properly. Few are as interested in sticking "tech" in their bodies for the convenience factor of it.

Even Musk made it really clear that's what his company was focused on; the medical aspect of reading/interpreting/controlling brain activity. He didn't start off pitching the "cyberpunk" angle of implanting new skills in someone's head....

Maybe the “iVibe”.. an adult personal device, controlled via iPhone . Except in this market, thick and long , no small and thin are the attributes wanted..

Jony Ive is looking like a monk in the picture. He went full circle. Now he hates tech. It will be in us...an..us...anus

I definitely agree with that it can be a good thing. Let’s hope that it’ll be used for the good of mankind and not slavery. Thanks to Covid we can see a rapid change in society and too much stuff that we know from movies is coming true. I’m not optimistic about the near future.

Wow could they choose a setting that looks less like a police interrogation for murder?

He didn't wear an Apple Watch

Mr Thin now wants tech under your skin
Is there any tech company that doesn't? They are all working on this in the background.....look at all the research going on in this space. It's just an evolution of wearables. Not my thing but hey...it will happen.
