I agree 100% with Jony. I am a cyclist and I already use my an app on my iPhone to send a link to my wife so she knows where I am while I am out riding. However, if something bad happens (serious crash, hit by a car, etc.) where I was unable to call for help, she probably wouldn't even look to see where I am until I was so late in coming home that she started to worry. Having that auto "call for help" if I crash and quit moving for 60 seconds could literally save my life. And, although I don't think I actually need the ECG function, I am looking forward to having it just in case.

I having been wearing my Series 2 for 2 years now but will be ordering my Series 4 AW in about 8 hours.

I used to really like hearing Jony Ive’s voice overs back in the Jobs days, I found them alluring when their products backed it up. Now all I hear is just him spouting bibble babble nonsense. I find him irritating, especially when their products today have more flaws than ever, and just knowing the fact that he ruined iOS (for me).

It better be, I’m paying $750 for it Johnny.

In all seriousness, I am really looking forward to this model Apple Watch, I think the revisions are nice, the larger display, EKG, upgraded fitness aspects, it’s way more than just a notification device anymore.
Careful relying too much on the EKG. Yes it's FDA approved, but cardiologists tell me wrist measurements are often inaccurate.

Regardless, I’m still optimistic about the fact that there including such technology in a watch. Perhaps it may not be as accurate compared to more medical grade measurements for an EKG, but still fascinating technology on your wrist. And I don’t see any other smart watch manufacturers making strides that Apple is currently on the medical aspect with the watch.

The BIGGEST thing Apple needs to do is make the voice-to-text accuracy MUCH more accurate than it is. Once it does that, Apple Watch can be MUCH more useful... Right now I have to do too many manual corrections! :(

I was a very skeptical guy once Apple launched the AW. My first was Series 2. I have to say once I start using for workouts I was sold on it. I am an avid swimmer and tracking the info and data it helped me a lot to improve my fitness and technique. I love the watch and miss my Old Omega Seamaster but will not go back to it for everyday use.
Luckily, I have good health, but for people who can take advantage of the right tools, AW offers here. This watch is indeed life changing product. Good job Apple.

Well at this rate the Apple Watch will be the same price as the iPhone 11 or 12. Unless those phones will be 1,200 to 1,500 and the watches 999. Hopefully by then the watches will be completely independent of the iPhones. ‍♂️‍♂️‍♂️

it's just a watch.

That is what it started out as with the Series 0, but it really has grown into a Health Monitoring Accessory and as they continue to add more HM features, I do believe it's value in that area for users will only grow.

I am on a Series 0 and it still works fine, but I am buying a Series 4 specifically for the additional health monitoring features in hardware and software in Watch OS 5.

Back in the old days (under his guiding mentor), Ive’s voiceovers seemed to add a smooth veneer to the genuinely impressive tech they were supporting.

Now that the reality distortion forcefield is permanently gone, his words are just pure cheesemongery and the man has become a parody of himself.

I agree! It would also be nice to be able to edit the words that come up when you are saying them. If one word comes up wrong then you have to start over or give up and try scribble it

Not as much as Tim Cook. It’s literally unbearable when he goes into the “let’s try and sound excited” territory. Cringe.
Lol, was it me or did Tim go into this mode when he started talking about the iPhone? Seems kinda forced and unnatural when he does that but then again we can't blame him for doing his job.

That’s Your opinion. If it’s too expensive for you, no problem, don’t buy it.
Over-priced and too expensive are two different things. I know this is probably your generic response. Of course, no-one has to buy it if they don't want to. I am just expressing my feelings on a forums with like-minded individuals. You aren't in my pockets though champ.
