People have been saying that for 10 years. And yet mac is getting more attention than ever.

I actually think that in most of these I prefer the front to the back. But I really wouldnt object to either color.The back looks great but the Barbie pastel colours on the front are hideous

I really don’t understand why so many here are complaining about something that has ALWAYS been there, as if it was a new design choice..
I would also prefer a chin-less iMac, but come on now.
No wonder. It’s terrible.. my opinion I know… but any long time Mac user who sees and knows Apple quality.. the new iMac is junky.. Including the screen.
I really wish I creative direction of something I dislike… Like how automated call menus are.. ughhh bad design just is so obvious to me.

You start with “my opinion” but then insist that “any long time Mac user…” would find this junky. If you want to express YOUR opinion, great. But you don’t speak for all long time Mac users. This particular Mac user who used his first Mac in the 1980s disagrees. These M1 Macs are in some ways a bigger step forward than the PPC to Intel transition.
In fact, there have been more releases with the post-iOS 7 design than the 1-6 one.

Good point, they need numbers. Apple should offer an optional battery in that extra space. I'd pay an extra $100 for it, and you guys who don't want a battery won't have to buy it.
If they made the iMac like the iPad Pro with the edge to edge screen, the hardware in the back and not the bloody chin which just looks hideous it could have been a stunning looking computer while still being super thin.

Wouldn't it be cool if the screen was separate from the computer, so the screen could be optimized to be adjustable screen with speakers in the chin? Then we could get the computer now, and use it with the TV as a monitor until they sell a screen that isn't junky.
So in your opinion, who should be the professional viewer? I consider both dudes pretty professional.
min terms of editorial alone with no senseless hashtag click bait (unless for fun during their videos done well), I’d say Marques, Jonathan, and Rene Ritchie. all use the software on macOS heavily and daily as part of their profession - as I’ve mentioned the first two already I. Good graces. Rene does the hashtag titles yet he does it in pure fun and for the pint of showing how silly haters of Apple really are - senseless.
Rene is the ONLY one of them when he debates views with links articles or facts to support his opinion views based on those facts.
I don’t watch Rene and a quick check shows he only has 259K subs so far. MKBHD has 14.1M. Dunno why that difference. But to me, MKBHD, Jonathan and Dave2D all meets the criteria you mentioned here. Hashtag thing is just mere manipulation of YouTube algorithm. Being 14.1M sub, MKBHD kinda have to do this. It’s just how YouTube works. Either way, I like their review and they are not as one sided as “everythingapplepro” or some other random reviewers.
Not sure how hard or easy it would have been. But it’s not the design they wanted to make. And lots of people like how it looks.
