That's a good point and worth repeating - at least Apple only take our money when our product is ready to ship. Contrast with Kickstarter or the like where you typically end up paying months or years before your product arrives.

... and then when you receive your kickstarter project its total garbage.

I got my 22-29june update as well.
But look on the brightside of things fellas, there's tons of people who got this shipping update today which means apple is finally catching up on production. Things will probably move along much quicker once we hit June.

Appreciate the thread, so thought I would let you guys now that I ordered a 42mm SS BLL Medium on April 19th and today the watch which was stuck with a generic "June" shipping date just changed to "Available to ship: 2-3 weeks Delivers May 26 - Jun 1"

Well it was too good to be true I guess. Sometime after this post yesterday the date changed for the watch to 5-6 weeks 22 June -Jun 29. :-/

Really hope it's just a placeholder and it come sooner than that.

I was hoping for some movement and it finally happened... My delivery window just updated from June to

(42mm Space Gray)
Processing Items Available to ship: 5-6 weeks
Delivers: 22 Jun, 2015 - 29 Jun, 2015 by Standard Shipping

I'm happy I've got a 7 day window for delivery, I do wish it were sooner ;)

I'd speculate that those who ordered early, like on the 11th, have a great chance of getting theirs even earlier

I can't imagine they will deliver almost three weeks (Apr 11-30) worth of orders all in the last week of June (then again, it's been taking them more than three weeks to deliver the first 30' worth of orders)

My status just changed from the generic June to 5-6 weeks, delivering 22 June-29 June.
42mm Space Gray Sport
Ordered 04/11 at about 7:08 pm Eastern time

I have the same exact shipping window and I didn't order until April 30th.

Mine also updated june 22 to june 29 delivery. This launch for apple watch really sucks. I feel just like everyone on here who is frustrated. Those of you making excuses for Apple need to accept this failure and stop bashing people who were anticipating a decent delivery time. We've all been reasonable with the delay but this is ridiculous. No matter how loyal you are this should not be acceptable to anyone.

Mine is exactly the same as that.

I'm disappointed with the update, but I'll hold on and be patient - especially since I waited until the end of April to make up my mind. I knew my ship window was June, and though I hoped for the best I will accept anything in June.

However, if orders could be delivered faster, but won't in order to ramp up production to stock the stores at the expense of those who have already ordered, I'm out. People who ordered the same model I did just a few days before me received their orders this week. My rudimentary idea of the supply chain would suggest that my order should be getting pretty close to shipment.

If word comes out that Apple is targeting mid-June for stocking the stores, I'll be upset, and I'll cancel. I understand that they are a business and need product in stores in order to really push it, but I'd feel let down enough to cancel my order.

There's no crying — just because someone is bummed about a situation they can't help doesn't mean you should be a jerk to them.

He's nothing to me really.. that's all he does is try to rile me up. thanks tho brah, LULZ next.

From that, you can easily deduce that these were not "decisions" at all. "Decisions" implies that Apple has decided to take an obscenely long time to deliver a product to its customers, and I'm fairly confident that is not the case. There's obviously a supply chain issue, and I have no doubt that the folks at Apple are doing everything they can to try to remedy that so that people can purchase and receive their product as quickly as possible.

so you don't think it was Apple's decision to launch a product without enough inventory to even come close to covering demand? It may not even have been the wrong decision, but they decided to launch knowing they wouldn't be able to ship a significant amount of their models right away.

Finally my order has been updated:

Sadly I will not be in SF anymore =/

Has anyone receive before the scheduled date?

I believe many people have received their watches before the delivery window. It's likely based on what watch and region.

I ordered on 4/11 at about 20:20 MDT. My window is June 22 - June 29 also.

I ordered the 38mm SS Milanese Loop and it said it would deliver between june 4-june 11th. I'm getting it today.

haha... just got an update today that my order is coming... drumroll... in 5-6 weeks. June 22-29 delivery date. so i guess this is a "June" shipment "as promised"...

it's going to be an interesting wait.:rolleyes::rolleyes:

i for one thought we would be on December shipment LULZ. who else is in this batch?

Same here. I normally wouldn't be quite as antsy, but I bought this thing as a reward for surviving a hellish semester at school and half the people in my department at work leaving within the same month. I'm getting overtime as a result of the second part, so I figured I could pay for one using that. Wish I had known earlier I was going to get a huge tax refund thanks to a student tax credit so I could've bought one on April 10, but that's passed. I bought a SodaStream to serve as my toy until the Watch comes.

I'll wait until 6/19 to cancel my order. Or perhaps I extend my staying in SF!

Prepare to cancel then. I don't think it will change. I thought Angela was supposed to give weekly updates? I remember her saying that in a video I saw. Funny how we haven't heard the updates.

I saw one video of hers that was intended for Apple Store employees... so if that's the video you mean, well, she might have been giving weekly updates to the store employees...

we don't know when these supply chain issues happened. they went from expecting to have in store inventory to not AFTER the announcement, which, again, seems to imply that they didn't know how bad the inventory was going to be until too late. i think they did what they needed to do. people were either going to bitch about them missing their launch window of "early 2015" or they could start getting some product out now. i'm personally glad i don't have to listen to people complain about how the watch had a launch date that got moved two weeks beforehand, and how un-Apple that is, for all of eternity.
