End of June?! WTF

I ordered a 42mm SS white sports band watch on 4/22 with a June ship date and I'm still processing.

I ordered a second 42mm SA white sports band watch on 4/28 with a June ship date just to see if it would beat the SS one I bought a week earlier. That's still processing.

Yesterday they updated my two watch orders to estimated shipping in 5-6 weeks that will deliver sometime between Jun 22 and Jun 29.

I find this update kind of maddening because I ordered the watches on 4/22 and 4/28 respectively. How does that equal 5-6 weeks shipping time if I receive the watch at the end of June?

What the "available to ship" should say is 8-9 weeks since I ordered in late April and they are delivering the watch supposedly over two months afterward (Available early 2015 sounds really funny in hindsight, right?)

I do value this wait time, though. The more the Apple Watch it out there in the public eye and we are still waiting, the more we have the opportunity to reconsider our orders and wait for a launch day when Apple has their s#@t together.

Repy to mostman

What more could apple had done? Well first They have been talking about it since Sept. and in March gave prices. At that point manufacturing should have been in full swing since the had 7 months to prepare. And to say that the demand out weighed did the stock?? Well that's a propaganda move to say it was a big hit. There are so many things Apple could have done differently to make this a launch that they could be proud of. Of ALLL the products that they launched, this is by far the saddest. If your not Beyoncé or a developer, your in a que. They went corporate, not personal...

Honestly - someone tell me what they should have done instead. There are really only two options - 1) stop taking orders immediately when current supply was exhausted 2) build a giant stock pile of watches and then start taking orders. Folks understand why both of these are insane, right?

That is the beauty of a public forum. I can vent my frustrations with a group of like minded individuals and not be required to provide a solution. I would never presume to be in a position to advise a multi billion dollar corporation and their logistical issues. I do know I'm not happy with the way they are currently handling, or not handling, things. I'm not alone in this feeling and even though I'm sure Apple could care less, I'd like to hope the Apple that I know does care. It's what always separated them from all the others. Apple, to me, has always been about the experience, not benchmarks or hardware. Unfortunately for me, this process has not been a pleasant experience. That unfortunately is a first for me with regards to Apple.

Ordered a 42mm SG on 4/27. Also have been updated to the June 22-June 29 timeframe

Got an update on my 42mm SG (ordered 4/11 @ ~11:14am EST)
Delivers: 22 Jun, 2015 - 29 Jun, 2015 by Standard Shipping

Have seen a number of others who ordered late April get the same delivery window for the same model. :(

I ordered my watch 42mm SS BSB 4/11. Confirmation email came shortly after 8pm CST. From the moment I ordered it until yesterday my status was shipping in June. As of yesterday, my status changed to shipping: 22 June -29 June. I got really excited when I checked my account and saw that $69 for AppleCare was showing as pending on my bank statement, but this morning led to more sadness when I checked only to find out that the charge had gone away. I ordered the watch for my birthday (4/14) and I'm still waiting like so many of you. I'd be really ecstatic if my watch shipped Monday. I'm torn between calling and being told what so many other have been told, or waiting to see if they will be in stock at the stores before mine ships. If that is the case, then I'll probably make arrangements to pick it up from the store. I really hope I have my watch before the stores do, otherwise what's the point of preordering anything?

Another Delivers: 22 Jun, 2015 - 29 Jun, 2015 by Standard Shipping here. Might as well just say July at first place. It looks like whoever ordered after 4/11 gets in this line. I guess Apple decided to make whoever that ordered on 4/10 first 5 minutes happy and screw everyone else.

April 19 Order Date: Delivery Date updated from 'June' to June 22 to June 29

I ordered the Apple Watch Sport 42mm Space Gray Aluminum w/black band on April 19. The delivery date was just June up until today where I noticed it was changed to June 22 to June 29. Can't wait! :)

I ordered The exact same thing but 3 days earlier (april 16) and mine is still on The generic 'June'.. What The..? Anybody an idea?

Boyfriend ordered the 38mm Milanese on 5/12. His original delivery estimate was 6/5-6/12. Just got an email that it shipped and is set for delivery on 5/18! Super jealous that he had such a quick turnaround, but hopefully it means good news for all of us with the 6/22-6/29 estimate. Maybe we'll get ours a couple weeks earlier, too.

For those not scouring other threads, July orders just updated to 5-7 weeks, putting them in the same range (to just a little later), than all of the orders that got updated to Jun 22-29 last night.

I placed my order on 4/11 and given simply June. Changed yesterday to June 22nd to 29th. I don't like it.

I think Apple is at this point giving generic shipping dates to orders in general. Which I'm grateful for.

I find it hard to believe those of us ordered late on the 10th/early on the 11th have the same shipping week as orders that were placed 3 weeks later. I of course don't know but am assuming at least some of us who ordered much earlier will be getting surprises before that shipping window. Time will tell!!

i ordered a 42mm SG on 4/13 and mine still says some "June" why is everybody else gettin updates and not me.

----------

dang nevermind i just checked and it says Jun 22 - Jun 29 (standard shipping) what does the standard shipping part mean?

Thought I'd check in again.

Ordered a 42mm :apple:Watch Sport, Space Gray with Black Sport Band.

I ordered it at 6:45 PM MT on 4/10 after a try-on session.

A couple weeks ago, my status went from "June" to "Ships 4-6 weeks, Delivers May 29 - June 11." I saw the charge for AppleCare+ on my bank account, but it went away after a couple days. Odd.

If I'm lucky, I'll have my Watch in 2 weeks! Hopefully sooner, as other people have been getting theirs sooner. But June 11 isn't the end of the world.

It seems like if you ordered my same config on 4/11 or later, it's automatically a June 22-29 delivery date.

Ordered mine on April 17 - SS Blue Leather Loop (BLL)

Last night I updated to Processing!

Processing Items Available to ship: 5-6 weeks
Delivers: 22 Jun, 2015 - 29 Jun, 2015 by Standard Shipping

Typically it means OVERNIGHT via UPS in the US.

42MM space grey sport

I got a shipping date of June 26 to July 6 - ordered mine on April 16 - hopefully they ship them early. I know that many pre orders with shipping estimates for May got their watches on the april 24 so hopefully similar scenario here

Isn't "June" generic enough. Why do they have to update to "June 22-June 29?" Why should I be grateful for going from June to June 22-June 29? The end of that range is 1 day from the end of June. Ultimately, what's the difference? So, why the need to update it?

Take heart! That means you should be on the front end of those deliveries :). I ordered the same April 21 and just want it by the end of June. Okay, I want it sooner but know what I signed up for when I submitted the order.

It means they are actually processing your order, instead of it sitting in a database. It moved from the point of sales 'system' into the 'production system'
