Another thing that this case likely demonstrates is that, admonishments or not, juries "deliberate" during the trial. It's next to impossible not to.

This is almost as nerve-wracking as waiting on SCOTUS earlier this year!

Ever wonder why you see so many pictures of the inside of the courtroom via a drawing? Yeah... no live coverage. lol. Maybe a nice painting of Apple's or Samsung's lawyers jaws dropping.

yeah, most courts dont want the distraction of a video camera crew in the middle of court proceedings

Verdict either way won't matter to me. It's not rocket science to realize that Samsung is copying Apple in so many ways it's beyond pathetic.

Phones, tablets, software, accessories, packaging, marketing, and now a retail store ... I still can't believe people support such plagiarism.

Any way GOOD LUCK Apple!

With a case this high profile, whatever the jury decides, I would not be surprised if it were appealed repeatedly by the losing party.

I love how quickly the information has spread.
Although The Verge is the only one liveblogging, everyone knows that a verdict has been reached only an hour after it has happened.

Just my gut feeling, but I feel like this is good news for Apple. I think it was more likely that at least a few would strongly think Samsung copied, so they would drag out the process. I find it hard to believe that all 9 would issue a completely anti-Apple verdict so quickly. We'll find out soon enough.

Anyways, hurry the F up Koh!

I have a gut feeling that if you're right, it's bad news for us (consumers)

True, but appeals are mostly about technical matters. The jury is the one and only trier of fact. Now if the judge made errors that caused the jury to screw up, that's one thing, but that's difficult to prove. Courts are very deferential to juries.

Since we are all waiting, anybody care to talk about why there is typically no live coverage in court? I have always known about it, but just never got around to find out.

Nah. It's not. Not anymore.

I would rather have Android as my OS. I just can't stand how pathetic the Google Play store is. It boggles my mind that it can be as bad as it is (relative to the App Store) with a million activations a day.
