I typing this as I hear it so it will be jumpy. 6' High 500 pounts. A whole skid wrap in black wrap. Came from Cupertino CA (my dad doesn't know that that is where Apple is based). Sorry I know that's not well worded but I typed this as I heard it.

I think it might be the last 3 guys that broke the NDA and this is where they are stored until after launch.... :)

Proof!

:D

Someone needs to photoshop the ipad in this picture!

Well **** (expletive deleted) me!

I don't think I'll buy one (or two, my wife wants an 'i' thingy) - just a bit embarrassing - maybe?

Just imagine the jokes you could make.
Scene: It's the day after release no one knows you have an iPad because you haven't told them (or you told the trickily that you wouldn't get one) still they ask
Person: So, did you buy an iPad?
You: Yeah
Person(excitement makes a face like a retarded monkey): OOOH Can I see it?
You: Sure (pulls out iPad case with iPad in it)
Person(gets made at you laughs)
You:No for real, you pull it out. :)
Talk of the office/school for weeks

You know Adobe doesn't want people to use the word "Photoshop" that way (I couldn't care less but it's funny) From http://www.adobe.com/misc/trade.html
Adobe the grammar Nazi said:
Trademarks are not verbs.

Correct: The image was enhanced using Adobe® Photoshop® software.
Incorrect: The image was photoshopped.

Trademarks are not nouns.

Correct: The image pokes fun at the Senator.
Incorrect: The photoshop pokes fun at the Senator.

Always capitalize and use trademarks in their correct form.

Correct: The image was enhanced with Adobe® Photoshop® Elements software.
Incorrect: The image was photoshopped.
Incorrect: The image was Photoshopped.
Incorrect: The image was Adobe® Photoshopped.

Trademarks must never be used as slang terms.

Correct: Those who use Adobe® Photoshop® software to manipulate images as a hobby see their work as an art form.
Incorrect: A photoshopper sees his hobby as an art form.
Incorrect: My hobby is photoshopping.

Trademarks must never be used in possessive form.

Correct: The new features in Adobe® Photoshop® software are impressive.
Incorrect: Photoshop's new features are impressive.

@ The guy below me
Big and heavy..

We'll let you know as more reports come rolling in.
I gave the size and weight on page 3 or 4.

I think what's in the box are the new toilets by apple. Seems that would make sense considering the weight....

Really? With what other item did they do this before? I see your point, and I know Apple is notorious for things LIKE this, but I don't remember them actually doing exactly this in the past.. Assuming this IS what they did here- which we have no way of knowing, obviously..Of course, my memory could be failing me, or I just missed it when it occurred..

Quite a few ex-Apple employees have admitted receiving orders to call some blogger and mention, that there is something comming soon. No traces, no proof, but a lot a of fuss.

I don't think that they have ever done the Black Box prank. Their creativity is endless... That's why it's Apple :)

The Apple mystery box is like one of those Russian nesting dolls. Open the box on the 23rd, and there's another box that says "Do not open until March 24". The box inside that is to be opened on March 25. And inside that is a box to be opened on the 26th, the supposed iPad launch date, containing iPads and the "special gift" Apple is bribing campers with to buy the thing.

Working for UPS does have one negative:

WE DONT SHIP APPLE!!!

Oh well, free health care doesnt hurt.

Ugh. I hate FedEx.

They try to deliver at 10AM when nobody is home. The won't leave it on the porch, despite the fact that I live in one of the quietest, safest, neighborhoods in my city. They give up after three tries, after which I have to wait on hold with a call center, then drive 30 minutes to the central facility (in a not-so-safe part of town) to pick up the package. Really, FedEx, is there no better way in 2010 to get my %@#* package?

Could be worse, though: it could be US Postal Service... (shudder)

If you leave a signed note on your door they will leave it there. :)

Ok so i have a problem with this whole thing

I have worked at Best Buy and currently work at FedEx. FedEx typically to my knowledge does not ship product to store such as BestBuy, they have their own shipping department. Im NOT calling you a liar im just saying that i find this hard to believe. HOWEVER i would be more than happy to help validate your statement IF you would like. Just PM some proof of your dads employment at FedEx. Once again i mean this in no offensive way at all just stating my insider opinion.

That's never happened to me before, I'm not saying that it does not happen though. For us they just leave a note saying they left the package at the door and that's it.

Actually it's happened with one UPS driver in my neighborhood. Never with FedEx.

I kinda call BS on this whole thing but who cares? It's not as though we're not aware of the iPad.
