Has yours been holding up well? Going to spray mine tomorrow then! Thanks ~

..to be 100% perfectly honest - you DO NOT need to protect the leather with ANY sprays/creams/lotions, etc if you are careful with your case.

I have had my midnight blue case for my iPhone 6, since the day it was released and I can also 100% confirm that I have NO wear & tear marks, NO scratches/blemishes/tears on the leather WHATSOEVER.

God only knows how some of the posters on here have (mis)treated their cases in order for them to look like that.

Don't let the minority of pictures put you in a false sense of security. Look after your case and it will NOT need ANY further treatment - MINE didn't and nor will yours............

my red so far is in pretty good shape but its only been a month so far. I know my red 5s case certainly got darker towards the 1year point, but its way too early to say with the 6 version. I'm not overly careful, nor ocd with handwashing and my red looks nothing like the white or black cases posted earlier.

My red one has been holding up okay so far after a month considering how much I handle the phone. I also liked the leather case so much I purchased a black one. Personally I don't care about the wear on the leather, it adds character. If I was concerned about the wear I wouldn't even purchase a leather case to begin with, but to each his own.

...man - some people must really abuse their cases!!!

My 'midnight blue' leather case does not have a single mark on it - anywhere, and I have had mine since the iPhone 6 came out! NO wear and tear on my case whatsoever.

I think these ones with the wear on the edges are situations where the phone is in a place where it constantly rubs against something with every step or movement, like in a purse with a bunch of other stuff, or a pocket with denim (denim is rough on things), so it goes rub-rub-rub as you're walking or swinging around the purse. I think in these situations the silicone would hold up better.

I was in the Apple store and tried both kinds- I was surprised that they're really very similar. The silicone has just a little more rubbery feel and the leather a slick feel, but the difference is more subtle than I thought it would be.

Just got my iPhone 6 Red Leather Case yesterday, and I'm really liking both the look, feel, and function. I had the red Silicone case and returned it after one day of use due to the dust and lint problem. No problems with the leather case so far.

Agreed about the dust and lint on those silicone cases. I had one a few phones ago and never would get one of that material ever again.

Got my Midnight Blue leather case for my 6+ today.

Loving it so far. Looks great and feels very premium and nice.

Had the Tech 21 case and it was just a little wide for my taste (though overall pretty low profile)- sure it has better protection from drops etc though than the Apple leather case.

I've also read alot of people do not like that the bottom is open, that was actually a selling point for me. My alarm clock/stereo/docking station next to my bed works with the Apple leather case because of the bottom being open, no other case I've found does.

Which color makes the Apple logo stand out the most? I have the red silicon case, and the logo is pretty much invisible unless shined upon with light perpendicular to the logo. I really liked the logo before putting a case on :(

The lint-collecting ability of the silicon case wears off with usage.

isn't this whole thread mostly OEM apple cases?

That dark brown looks great. I have never cased my phone, but b.c the 6 is so slick I am considering the leather case. That looks awesome.

Quick update on how my Olive Brown has changed since I posted the above picture about a month ago.

Well I've had my Apple leather case on my iPhone 5 for little over a year now and it's been great. I love this case. It adds just a slight amount of thickness to the phone and Oem fit is spot on and it has saved my phone on few occasions on some falls. The case has been on for about 97% of the time since i got it. Well the case does has some weak points(charger port, headphone jack and must switch). Personally I like how the case has aged. I'll most likely pick another one for my 6+ when it arrives.

So far, the Apple leather case is the best combo of thinness, grip, comfort & protection I've found. I had one on my iPhone 5 for a year, and knew it was the one I wanted on my "6".

Damn, case looks pretty beat up. I have the same one for my i5 and is my favorite.

The case for the iPhone 6+ (I don't know about the 6) eliminates those problems at the bottom of the phone by not attempting to cover that area. Also, with the phone being thinner and having curved edges that may also help.

Yep it's held up to some abuse and that's what makes me glad. Just the other day i got back home from work and i drop my phone top end first onto a brick and no damage to my phone just a scuff on the leather.

Yea, i think the mute switch opening might crack over time but i wouldn't mind it.

I think that's why the 6 cases don't have the bottom part covered up, too easy to break off when you want to remove the case.

I once broke the thin piece near the lightning connector off trying to remove the case.

Most of the bottom needs to be open anyway. The speaker area is larger than in previous phones and there's only one small area that could be covered, so it's not worth bothering to try to cover the bottom of the phone just for that one area.
