Just got my Apple Leather Case

Space gray..always wondered why they would give that name to the color gray. Space is black..the deepest black you can imagine. Are they somehow thinking that the stars and other objects in space plus space itself somehow add up to gray?

do u guys feel the click when pressing the sleep/wake button. i just got the iphone 6 with the leather case and that button is kind of mushy. its clicky with the volume buttons. dont know if i just have to give it time or if i should return it.

Give it time. After a day or so. The buttons should click the same as if you didn't have a case on it

My power button was clicky the instant I put the case on.

Can someone tell me if this case will fit with a full back skin ?

I doubt whether a skin would get in the way. The case is after all made of a flexible material ( leather) which ought to allow it to fit over something as thin as a skin. If you really want to be sure go to the Apple Store and test-fit one before buying.

I ordered the olive brown but quickly returned it. It was a hideous shade of brown, I found it almost too "olivey" as opposed to the "chocolatey" color of the iPad Air 2 smart case. Believe me when I say it looks better in pictures than it does in person, I would call it ugly actually. Also the leather had a cheap feeling that wasn't the most pleasurable thing to hold. In terms of quality the leather around the camera cutout began to peel after a couple of days. I was not pleased with this case and I would not recommend it.

Posted in another thread but figured I'd share it here as well.

I am on my second soft pink leather case and am hoping Apple will exchange it for a silicon one (or perhaps a dark leather one?). The dye constantly peels off within a week of usage. Avoid.

Looks like i'll have to buy the brown and black 6+ case at some point. I was in Best Buy doing holiday shopping and bought the red leather case on an impulse(even tho i have a Power Supply Air Jacket that was waiting to be used lol). I love the shade of red in person.

because Space and Grey doesn't sound as cool.

Love mine, but it has become more of a glorified holster/carrier as I am going naked once I arrive somewhere (work, bar, coffee shop etc).

Once you have that raw feeling, that skin, those curved corners, hard to wrap it back up in leather.

Is there any type of warranty on the apple leather cases? Will they exchange it if the dye is coming off like on my Red leather case? Or will they only exchange it within 2 weeks?

All of Apple's accessories come with 1 year warranty, only thing is I presume this would come under cosmetic damage so wouldn't be covered - but at the same time I'm not sure what else the warranty could cover because any sort of damage to it would be cosmetic (unless for some reason you took a year to return a case if it had some sort of manufacture defect).

The warranty probably covers the felt lining coming out on it's own or something silly like that, but I'll call Apple support and ask them. I would go to the Apple Store, but the genius bar takes forever even with an appointment. Thanks for the info!

Spoke to a rep on the chat, they're nitrous for giving out the wrong information but what he said seemed reasonable

"The warranty itself will cover any malfunctions and other incorrectness in the product itself (like the case not fitting properly on the device, or detaching often etc)"

I suppose it depends on the employee since there's a fine line between cosmetic damage and a faulty product with a case. As you could still argue that a loose fitting case is due to accidental damage.

Here's my space grey 6 in the Apple brown leather case.

The brown is actually a shade or two darker than the photos show.

Love the combination.

The screen protector is the Power Support Anti-Glare one that was in stock at the Apple store when I picked up the 6. It'll do for now until I find something better.

I've always heard that brown and black don't go together. At least in clothing/fashion anyways. But I see a lot of Space Grey iPhones with brown cases (like this one) and it looks pretty sharp!

...personally, I would recommend the 'Midnight Blue' leather case for the Space Gray iPhone 6.

I have had my 'Midnight Blue' case since day of release and can confirm, it still has NO scratches to the leather, NO fading of the leather, NO wearing of leather - NO NOTHING!

It still looks brand new, just like the day I bought it.

Yea but the Red/Black color combo is better, if I was gonna use a blue or black case, I would've gone with the white iPhone.

Just wondering those with the Apple leather case, since bottom is exposed will the bottom get scratched easily?

In the months I've had my phone in the case the bottom has not gotten scratched. I don't think it's a problem and with the 6+, at least, (I don't know about the smaller iphone 6) there's no practical way to cover the bottom anyway without blocking important openings.
