Just got my iPhone 6 Red Leather Case yesterday, and I'm really liking both the look, feel, and function. I had the red Silicone case and returned it after one day of use due to the dust and lint problem. No problems with the leather case so far.

I really like your wallpaper!! Would it be possible to share it?

Thanks a lot in advance

Julia

Apple leather case adds grip ability and sleekness to the iPhone its fitted and the dark colors hold up well to dirt and use. As for protection it's average. The front lips really doesn't extend far enough to prevent damage in a fall

Overall: it's a good case worth the money

Is there any way to make these cases more grippy? I find it a tad to slippery out of the box, leather balm doesnt seem to do the job..

You don't want it too grippy anyway since lint would stick to it, as it does with silicone. I don't have any problem with the feel of it in the hand just as it came. I've had it 2 months and it's just fine the way it was shipped without rubbing any leather treatment products onto it.

Mine got grippy over time. Took about a month for me, but now mine isn't slick at all.

Sounds good! Im mostly frustrated over the fact that the same version I was using with my 5S had alot better grip! Hopefully it'll get better :)

My iPhone olive brown case after a few months of usage. Not very pleased with the discoloration. But it's holding up well.

Those are my photos (andyACEcandy - I don't mind at all ) and the screen protector was the Power Support anti glare version that was available in the apple store when I picked up the iPhone on release day.

I've since switched to the Spigen Crystal HD. I actually prefer the glossy over the matte... and the Spigen's cuts are much more precise and "tight" around the home button and speaker/front camera.

(The case is the ROCK 0.8mm Ultrathin Soft TPU case in transparent black)

How do you like that case? Does it have "lay flat" (lip) protection for the screen? Could you post a picture of the back? I'm curious to see how the "transparent black" case looks on a grey IP6.

What about the corner edges on the front bottom. Have they discoloured ??

The entire case looks dark brown, the people @ the Apple Store commented that they had never seen this color on a case...

I bet he figured I got a generic version ... but it was their case alright, even asked for a replacement :)

But alas ... I will keep this one until my Aduro shell case gets in ...

I've had my leather case for about a month and a half now for my 6 plus. The phone usually sits on my desk at work or is in my jeans pocket. As you can see, it's discoloring pretty badly. Not happy seeing as how I paid $53 or so with tax for the case.

wow man, I got mine (also red) on halloween and it doesn't look like that at all. I don't use purel every two seconds either.

Damn, I don't know why mine is like this then. I guess sliding the phone into my jeans pocket rubs the dye off? I thought maybe the dye from the jeans rubbed onto the case, but when I tried cleaning a small corner of it, it just got worse. Freakin Apple!

Has anyone used shoe polish on their case? Buff it to a nice shine?

I was just polishing my dress shoes and though for a breif moment if it would make the case look better. It sure makes my brown shoes look better and protects the leather so i thought it may do the same for the brown case. Any potential issues?

I use Lord sheraton leather balsam on all my leather products. So far kept my olive brown and black case in new condition. And they smell like leather too.

heh i remember from the 5s threads that stated very clearly not to wash it ever. Mostly only a problem with red due to the dyes.

Where is that wallpaper from?

Thanks... I noticed a few folks here who wanted that wallpaper, so here it is. Since I last posted the photos of the red leather case, I've returned it and switched back to the red Apple silicone case. The leather just didn't have enough grip to suit me, and the silicone does, and actually has a nicer feel (to me). Plus, there won't be any discoloration issues. I added photos of the phone with the silicone case and a different wallpaper that I'm using right now. The resolution is higher and therefore a little sharper. I think I found both wallpapers by googling for "red iPhone 6 wallpaper," or something like that.

Give it time. After a day or so. The buttons should click the same as if you didn't have a case on it

I bought the red leather on launch day and exchanged it for another red two weeks ago. Today I exchanged for black as the red just doesn't look good over time.

Maybe I should have tried a leather sealant first, but honestly Apple should have treated the leather. For $49, I shouldn't have to do anything.

The Brown is pretty nice on Space Gray . . .

Just happens to match Saddleback leather brown too.
