Went back and swapped it for a black one. This one is a keeper. Fits perfect and the Apple logo is crispier. The corners are ok now.

I can see why this thing cost so much. This case is pretty damn nice. Not sticky like the silicone version yet gives a decent amount of grip.

Great! Glad to hear it!

Is the slight outward curve of the case towards the bottom normal? I'm guessing it is to allow the phone to wrap around the bottom corner?

That is not normal. I and the poster above you had the issue. Take it back. My replacement case was flawless and did not flare at all.

Just got my Apple Leather Case

The first two had the corners flaring out a little bit. My third one, in black, doesn't have that issue.

I think the original poster meant broken in, not broken. Broken in is a good thing.

Yep. That's what I meant.

The buttons on my blue leather case broke in within 2 weeks. At the end of that period, the clicks felt like no case was there at all. I was pretty surprised.

I replaced the blue case with a red case, and noticed that after 4 months of use, the red case buttons are still hard to press.

Upon closer examination, the entire button shape is different between the cases. The blue case had a larger leather button, whereas the red one has a much tighter and smaller leather button.

In other words, the button on the red leather case fits much more precisely around the actual button, whereas the blue one was approx 1-2 mm wider/longer around the periphery of the actual button.

Which is likely why the blue one broke in and was easier to press.

Unfortunately, I don't have a pic of the blue button. Can someone post it for comparison? Here is my red button:

I gave up on the leather cases. The fact that 2 of mine got harmed by casual dampness turned me off for the excessive time and hassle that went along with it. And that followed what it took to score a good copy of the black leather case, so I threw in the towel. Specifically talking 6 plus variant.

I dunno how you treat your phone or where you put it down but mine is no different after 4 months of use than when I got it.

Just make sure you keep her dry. If you splash some water on the leather, you might wind up seeing a raised splotch-like appearance like I and others have. I own leather goods and never seen this happen. People have reported that the leather on the 6 series cases is different than that on the 5 series cases.

So far I've had no trouble keeping it dry. I'm careful about where I put my phone down. But even if at some point it does get a drop of water on it and gets a spot I don't really care. It's only a case.

We have different tolerance as it applies to a pricey case that should prove less easy to negatively affect, especially when compared to other leather goods that are out there.

Well, frankly, mine was not pricey at all. Apple threw it in as a freebie when I had trouble with the pre-order process. Otherwise I would likely have bought a third-party product instead. For me the case is there to 'take the bullet' and protect the phone from scratches. If it gets damaged in the process that's what it's there for.

Well, seeing the back of the case swell when wet was a bit much, especially for a $50.00 case. You asked me to explain why your case was okay while I had returned mine for refund and I supplied you with the information along with a link to a thread of others similarly affected, including photographic evidence. So there you go.

Actually I never asked you for anything. You have me mixed up with someone else.

So,after searching days for a case,I finally bought a black leather case for my 6 plus. and I love it!
I wanted a case that offered a little protection along without adding much bulk to the phone and this is exactly what I was looking for
I never had a leather case before.Build quality is great. It just feels great when holding. Also has a decent amount of grip(at least compared to a naked phone)
And it didn't add a notable bulk which is a big plus
Overall,I highly recommend it

I am going to get the midnight blue one.. I've been back and forth but I think I'll get one eventually when I head over to Best Buy. They feel amazing.

Posted in another thread but figured I'd share it here as well.

I am on my second soft pink leather case and am hoping Apple will exchange it for a silicon one (or perhaps a dark leather one?). The dye constantly peels off within a week of usage. Avoid.

A friend of mine has had the pink one since launch day and it still looks brand new. She is careful with it but far from obsessively so.

I honestly don't know what some people do to their cases to get them to wear so fast.

I've had my olive brown case since mid December and it also still looks largely brand new.

I haven't done anything to abuse it. Put it in my pocket, pick it up, and put it on my desk. Perhaps she got a better quality one but I gave up on the pink case.

I also have the pink case and mine still looks new too. I wonder if the oils in your skin do that to the case? My husbands hands cause different reactions on ceramic pieces that mine do not. I know ceramic is a completely different medium but its a thought.
